It looks totally ok I think even good for a Toyota but 300km range on the biggest model while the Kia EV3 has double that and even more on the short range is not impressive. I think most people want a bit longer range, at lest over 400km nowadays as a minimum. Price has to be really good to sell I think.

The rear surfaces are all matte plastic, but thats perfect for kids in the back - easy to clean. For a family with small children, Id rather not damage or stain leatherette surfaces. Not to mention I dont have any range anxiety in the Yaris Cross.

What really interested me is that this is a cousin of the Suzuki E Vitara, and the joint development between Toyota and Suzuki starts to make sense. I think I would want the Suzuki for off road 4WD, but if I did not need proper off road and just needed short range practicality this Toyota hits a spot. The point about Toyota being reliable if not full of premium interior goodies matters; I would choose something which is likely to work in mid winter or a rainy season over something which looks cooler but leaves me walking on the side of the road. This a clever package.
