Not that you asked and feel free to ignore me as I struggle on my own youtube channel and you surely already know way more than me, but I think your video is so incredibly good/better than 99.9% of stuff out there. I think your face in the thumbnail is AMAZING like seriously beyond perfect. All sweaty and intense and holding a camera immediately makes me intrigued. However, the background is confusing since idk what's happening, and I don't really (as a cold viewer) care about you spending a few thousand dollars. If I were you, I'd try to put one of the more famous scenes you recreated in the thumbnail where the two people are (id be intrigued to see how good of a recreation you could make). And the words on the thumbnail will have to help decipher what movie it is since it would be hard to tell, just like "titanic". I'm sure you've tried a ton of titles including something like this, but something simple like "recreating 100 movies in 24 hours" I think would work best and let your sweaty face in the thumbnail do the heavy lifting. In general, 2 things bothered me the most about the video. 1 - the whole time I was excited to see each of the two movies side by side. I wish you'd include one in the first 5 min or so maybe as like a mini initial challenge or something. But then I was super disappointed not to see the movies side by side in the end. It would have made more sense to have a competition movie by movie and would have built more anticipation for the winner. 2 - I get that it's for fun, but as a cold viewer I wish there was more drama for the winner (I didn't have any reason to think your brother cared about winning at all). Like some kind of reward for the winner or punishment for the loser. Could be not too crazy or expensive, loser jumps in cold water, loser head shave, winner posts something on losers twitter/facebook, just copy any of the punishments other youtubers have done. Like I said, this video is incredible and that's the only reason I'm taking the time to comment, and also like I said, if you disagree with what I'm saying you're probably right and ignore me. I'm a random moron who could never make a video like this lol. Also feel free to shit on my videos or thumbnails it'd probably help me :)

fantastic feedback! honestly a lot of things that i’ve thought as well. i shot this almost two years ago now, posted it on another channel and it had about 30k views as the first video on that channel. i actually re-edited this to include more of the movies and it’s actually better here than there, but i didn’t want to re-edit the entire video from scratch again. honestly, i feel the phrase “polish a turd” comes to mind here. not that i feel it’s bad, it’s just my first swing at a video like this. I SHOT IT WRONG. the story beats you mention there weren’t shot. so i’d have to fabricate it with pickup shots or voiceovers or something. im going to try a big scale video like this again but take what i learned from this and apply it for next time. thanks for your feedback. if you’re on twitter, hit me up! my handle is dvdaltizer
