Many countries are named differently in other languages than their own. What you call your own country in your own language isn't really a factor. For example in English we call it Japan but to the Japanese it is Nihon, in English we call it Greece but to the Greeks is Ellada, China the same since they call it Zhong Kuo etc.
@aruy9 ай бұрын
@@SIPEROTH "Many countries are named differently in other languages than they own" I know about this. But shouldn't foreigners respect if other countries request to call them the way they ask? And not by the names given by the conquerers a long time ago, for example. It's not only about Sakartvelo.
@SIPEROTH9 ай бұрын
@@aruy Not really because that is not your language. It's their language and they can name things in their language as they wish. Do you call Germany as Deutschland? Your language probably does the same. I doubt that in your language you call all countries with the same name the natives call their country.
@aruy9 ай бұрын
@@SIPEROTH One more time. It is wrong when some countries choose to use the name that was established by some abuser/aggressor. For example, you don't have the right to call black people nіggers because you want, even if you don't mean anything offensive by calling them that way
