they really need to start giving pokemon more than 1 move especially when it's a stage 2. Like they could easily give venusaur (non Ex version) a alternate move from the ex version, which would make you decide which one to bring. like even something as simple as a 1 energy attack for 20-30 damage for the non ex venusaur.

Mewtwo, Articuno, Zapdos, Raichu, Exeggutor, Wigglytuff and Marowak all have their uses even in their weakened form and usually they do things differently enough to be classified as something else rather than being better or worse than their stronger variants, but phase 2 Mons are so slow that once you have them on the board you want the maximum value, so it's better to play the most powerful variant (and that still didn't stop a guy from running a single standard Blastoise alongside two Exes at a tournament), not to mention that except for Gengar they *all* are a copy of their weaker forms but with higher stats and sometimes a new move to attack on curve while many others, like Wigglytuff, are way different mons. Venusaur in particular, like Zard or Champ, *is* indeed just a worse Venusaur-Ex.

I've been feeling pretty burnt out by the lack of variety, I only ever see the blue and yellow decks, Articuno and Pika... and the slow trickle of new cards, can't do anything with the gobs of duplicates, the Free to Play model is rough... I recently found WarpForge because I'm a big Warhammer 40k fan but... I think the Free to Play there might even be more toxic... gods how I still miss Runeterra...

i guess the only major benefit of running one regular Venusaur in a Venusaur EX deck, is having better chances at living against Dragonite decks, and a contingency to if you just have both of your EXs at the very bottom of your deck and need a substitute (which happens very often to me so idk maybe this is a deck for me lol)

The "double red card your mum" is a bit unsportsmanlike, besides too harsh. He didn't even double Misty you to be fair, which you say it's the most compromising card of the game. While there are better cards, it's also luck dependent, for example, I only got 1 sabrina in 150 packs and had to buy the other. I menaged to get 2 3* Mewtwo and 1 3* pikachu before getting 2 sabrina or giovanni XD.

Ditto is bad because you select only enemy cards and you need the same energy as well as their cost, stop asking for it... There's no consistent deck with Ditto.

That last attack before conceding is something I've seen from salty players a lot. They're getting last damage and then not letting you get another point. As for the card balancing...MTG Arena has an entire digital only set called Alchemy which is usually used to balance or play test the game without modifying the existing paper card counterparts. They can always do something similar in PTCGP due to the difference in its format.

It's just there to be a wall like snorlax sadly. You will never generally get 2 venusaur ex online so the extra bulba line can be used for stalling or sabrina sacrifices with the regular one.
