Next video: try this in Assetto Corsa. Your skills are MORE than decent! You are not as natural as CToretto for example, but you can handle an "accidental" oversteer in case you are racing in rain conditions which is beneficial for you in a race. So you can save the situation and also have some fun in case you need it. As you mentioned it in many other videos, you don't like drifting and you try to avoid getting in that situation. Sure, for fun, you can do it. But when it comes to racing, drift is a time loss and you hate time losses :) And later edit..... your skills in drifting with the wheel are similar to my skills in drifting with keyboard (which by the way is muuch much easier). So in conclusion: Your skills are HIGH! Congratulations! I love it!
@FineW_TurboM1113 жыл бұрын
Let the wheel handle the most of the countersteering for you, modulate angle with clutch, throttle, brakes and handbrake. You should only have to countersteer manually when getting a too heavy throw that can spin your car around quickly. other wise try just releasing the wheel slightly and stop it when it has reached a point where the wheel matches the cars angle.
@ototso92813 жыл бұрын
It doesnt work like that in carX because the ffb is not the greatest. AC would be better place to let selfsteer do the work.

Not in every case tho, using T150 I feel I MUST help my wheel to countersteer as it is lazy as hell :D
@DeeKay7733 жыл бұрын
you need to find the right amount of wheel lock . Viper seems to have 45 degree steering angle of the car, so the force feedback will be very aggressive and over-correct. So he should increase the steering lock of his wheel. If you have weaker wheel, such as T150, you need to lower it to be able to "catch up" to the drifts. For example, for 100% FFB in Assetto Corsa, with stock G25, i was drifting at 600°, with modified G25 at 720°, and with DD wheel I'm able to drift comfortably with ~800-900°. Any less, the force feedback will "snap", any more, the wheel won't be able to "catch" the drift.
@bernardogoulart6323 жыл бұрын
Try to switch the steering lock to 900° so that you can have more control over the steering angle and let the wheel correct itself when switching directions
@RobertVivian3 жыл бұрын
Unless the forcefeedback is different for other wheels, the game doesn't give realistic feedback at all, you can't just let the wheel correct itself (at least on my setup).

Might be a usefull hint (at least was for me when I made it XD) I USED THIS ONLY IN CARX: setut the tire grip in front to the lowest, keep the pressure 200. Keep the rear grip and pressure defaut, confirm if the car is setup with max steering angle possible. Go for it, use the handbrake to help the initiation, since you have low grip in front. When you get confortable, increase the grip in front, til you equal to the rear. This works for people trying to use a controler without assists too. Try it with the 900º (personally i think using 540º will not help you improve, like in the video, looks like you're fighting against the wheel XD)

In my opinion not the best choose of game to take a try for drifting. There need for properly try use sim with 900 or 1080 degree steering wheel settings and of course all 3 pedals with H gearbox and hydro handbrake as well. Also in my opinion there is no really good game for drifting that includes in game title that ''drift'' word, but good drift game is a really good simulator with great physics for racing and then properly drifting comes too if there is setting potential for that. I can suggest to try out Live For Speed but more like with cold tires to try drift(old game ,but still best physics and setting possibilities) ,then Assetto Corsa (there is fun challenges for drift) , BeamNG (Pretty good physics and really challenging to survive drift) and then maybe Rfactor 2 or something like that. Just try out by yourself , and it gives more reflexes for racing in extreme conditions in future. In real life races are more or less familiar with drifting too to catch that moments. And I personally drift with e36 in real life, so that's why I can suggest what should be closer to real life experience in games. Have fun ! Peace out !

learn how to drift in ac rather than carx it's much easier in ac and also let go of the steering wheel. i know it sounds counterinuitive but let it self steer, it will countersteer for you and it will be much more better. you just modulate it with slight corrections and gas and brake inputs. but let the car steer itself. you just make it do so with the gas. and it's useful to know because then it's easier to correct slides while racing and you feel more in control of your car.
