Can Warhammer also be Terrain? Stone Giants / Trollshaws for MESBG

I recreate the iconic scene of the Trollshaws from middle earth using Bert, Bill and Tom. As well as the terrain, I can remove them to play on the table top.

@@windrushwargamers2745 recently ordered some moria terrain, thinking of starting a khazad dum army where the dwarve's legs and lower bodies are painted to look like stone. Like they're emerging from the rocks after being awoken by Aule

They look amazing likes. I thought leopard spotting only worked on the plaster rock moulds because its porus but it turned out class on the plastic

But before then I want to continue making the stone effect one the dark denizens of Mirkwood, to ally in with the trolls. Also, as a one off I might make a Cirith Ungol watcher. What is up next for you?

If you are weird about visible bases, you can ad a layer of 5mm foam core on top of the MDF with holes for the troll bases. I use that technique on the displays/movement trays for some on my orcs.

@@windrushwargamers2745 I'm working on orcs based from leftover bits. Oathmark, Forgotten World, Mantic, GW and historicals go surprisingly well together, if you have the right mindset.

Great outcome! When doing moss, a technique I like (also from the miniature railroad community) is mixing PVA with flock, and stippling it across the intended mossy area. The PVA dries clear, and leaves sporadic flocking coverage. Keen to see your next project!
