I am Taiwanese, and I found it quite interesting when I saw you interviewing and interacting with Taiwanese people. I feel like this could be a series.😃

To have or not to have children is a big discussion across the world. My daughter and her friends are not thinking about having kids - they are in the 30 year-old group. Like you said, they are focused on career and enjoying life with minimal responsibility such as caring for and raising/training up a child. Of course I'm disappointed, especially since she's my only child, but I had to calm down and accept that everyone is entitled to their opinion and choice of life, and that I just have to let her live her life with what makes her happy.

I wonder if there is a way to increase the odds of Twins ~ It'll help resolve the birthrate issue and also significantly reduce the cost when raising 2 children. (e.g can send the children to the same school / etc) Taiwan should try to look into this :)

Increasing the odds of having twins can be an intriguing idea for addressing birthrate and cost concerns. Maybe Instead of focusing solely on increasing the probability of twins, it might be more effective for Taiwan to explore comprehensive strategies to support families with multiple children. This could involve improving access to affordable education, healthcare, and other resources required for raising children. By addressing these broader issues, Taiwan can create a more supportive environment for families and contribute to resolving birthrate concerns.

If money wasn’t an issue would you have children in Taiwan? Or would you want to be in one of your home countries with the support of family? For me personally I don’t want children. I feel I don’t have the mothering instinct and if I have a child I wouldn’t be able to support them emotionally. I don’t want to put a child through that. I do however have 6 cats and 1 dog. They’re pretty expensive haha! When they get old you have to support their health with a lot of vet visits

Thanks for sharing! Yes, we wouldn’t mind having a child in Taiwan because of many positive aspects of life in Taiwan. The quality of life, good health system, less bureaucracy, etc ☺️
