Yeah seems pretty obvious to me. An argument could be made that the village isn't a "melee" tower because it doesn't attack at all, but that's just going off of the specific wording of the challenge and not the general spirit of it, which is obviously "no projectiles".

Now I want a fighting game with the btd6 heroes as the roster. Sauda would be a shoto. Pat is the grappler. Ettiene could be a puppet character, with the drones. Adora could have an install a la moroha mode where she'd take a percent of damage dealt in exchange for the best normals. Ezili could have a ton of setplay. Make her have scary mix-ups, great oki and pressure, have her keep you in blockstrings forever. Too bad that everyone else just comes off as a zoner, except maybe Rosalia with great air mobility. Mid-range rushdown? Maybe.

Corvus would also be a puppet character, but with more focus on meter management. Geraldo seems like a "trap" type character, no traditional projectiles, but a bunch of long-lived deployables that cut off parts of the stage. Gwen could be a neat hybrid zoner, perhaps her normals could do more damage against burning opponents?

@@binarycat1237 Great ideas, I quite honestly forgot about Corvus' very existence, which is why I didn't think of him as the puppet character. Maybe he'd have his abilities for his own specials while the spirit has a spell system attached, kind of like Nine the Phantom or Asuka R#. Someone who knows programming should get on this idea.

technically speaking, all paths of the beasg handler are "melee" towers, the raptor bites bloons, the falcon talons them, the fish slaps them and higher tier bites them. all melee 👍

You could have had the owl bring the bloons to the yellow triangle, which would have given them more of a pass-through, and was a smaller distance for it to travel, so it may have been able to clear that round

i saw your vid about the easiest strats for chimps but i'd like to say that for every mode except chimps i normally beat all the easy and intermediate maps with a early game 4-0-2 and 2-0-4 tack shooter plus a bloon liquefier plus a 4-2-0 village and they solo all the way to round 90 where you have to upgrade to bloon solver and inferno ring these 4 towers can beat round 100 super easily you can use saura for easy camo dec for early rounds

The banned towers should be allowed. The only limit should be on middle path spac. That path should max out at tier 3 since tier 4 and up can do a mapwide attack. Meanwhile, doesn't bottom path Beast Handler break the rules since the birds can fly from one part of the map to another automatically unlike the middle and top path that have to be moved manually and are thus more "melee"? Unless where you target it limits it to a somewhat small radius that it can attack from, it looks more like a Pursuit heli than a melee tower.

@@scottrastyles2592 Yeah, maneuvers give them some flexibility in combat. There is also stuff like barbarians having the ability to use strenght for ability checks that would normally use other stats and whatnot, that makes melee classes more useful outside of just fighting.
