1. Tomoko's kimono with the rabbits is absolutely precious and I've been wanting one like that. 2. I can barely get dressed in kimono in under 30 minutes. You all are record holders by comparison! Haha!

I always watch Sunao-Sensei's videos when I reached a dead end in my Kitsuke. A full Kimono setup that leaves me satisfied still takes longer than an hour. Hahaha I absolutely love her videos, she has so many tips and tricks and helped me so much just from watching in my Kitsuke journey. ❤ You guys did a great job, too!

I love how you talk and educate people on Japanese culture, even talk about things that are slowly disappearing within, Japanese culture. Bringing light to these thing. And yet, still have fun. I may not be Japanese myself but I love learning about its history and such. Much love to Shogo and his team. ❤

Is wearing kimono a novelty? Like an homage to bygone days? Or do regular people wear them in their day-to-day life?
@shenglongisback46882 жыл бұрын
Yes too all. 1st a Novelty as the generations change so does taste n preference. But then Japanese are proud of them so it is a homage also. People do especially older women still wear them day too day.
@Mortablunt2 жыл бұрын
@@shenglongisback4688 It's like how you can in the West wear a tailsuit or tux no problem, but it is not a 100% typical thing to wear. No cop will arrest you, but you will look older and out of place.

Sorry that this isn't related to the video but since your channel is called "let's ask shogo" I wanted to ask you something. Are Japanese people not at all embarrassed by some of their practices? Like I just heard today it's more common japan to do something like lowball a potential employee so they will quit or not accept the job rather than actually say "no we don't want to hire you" I'm hearing Japan is all about conflict aversion to a point of it almost being neurotic. Also things like them treating some people badly because they come from families that do "dirty jobs" isn't this stuff that embarrasses japanese people? I would compare it to me---as a man from the southern part of the USA---to knowing my ancestors and even some current neighbors are racists. It's just something that is horribly awkward for me. I would feel the same way if my people did half the stuff I hear about japanese people doing.
