IPL started like a boom💥💥, 200+ was a fun score and every team is playing like a video game ............. and how it's ending only 2 scores more than 200 made in last 7 games and teams who chased 262 can't even chase 168 ........... Also CSK defended 178 and 167 on the grounds where the dew comes in 2nd innings........ And this the part of Ipl we all wanted to see..

I know it used to be a lot more slow say 10 years ago with the average IPL T20 score being about 150 ish but its certainly gone too high too often now, if it was consistently high hundreds & the odd over 200 it'd be worth watching but couple that with it being behind a pay wall now it's not worth it

Two things- One, batsmen used to bat a lot more crafty and play for the innings, rather than trying to play flashy innings and go big or go home. This is proven by players like Narine who is an ipl veteran at this point- who literally went from being a tail ended barely scoring any runs to opening the batting for kkr and consistently scoring 50s and even 100 this season. I think players just saw the success of leagues like CPL, how entertaining it can be to see high scoring games and wanted to emulate that. Two, bowling has gone down considerably since the early days of the ipl, at least in my opinion. It’s true we still have world class bowlers today but economically most of them haven’t been great. Spinners still do very well in keeping the run rate down but pace bowlers have taken a huge hit. The likes of lasith malinga and morne morkel don’t really exist in the ipl anymore, which is why pace bowlers leak so many runs.

NKR should be way higher up the lineup he's a great batsman. Otherwise the wickets are mostly a lot slower now it's later on in the competition... So scores have generally come down a bit, and games have been a little less bonkers... But people love seeing huge sixes, so.......

TBH cricket in India is boring in general. Having pitches that is better for batting and spinner sis just boring, High t20 score does make it pretty boring and i guess that its just expected for a team to make over 220 every innings just makes it worse. How about in england where the boundaries are small but the pitches are great for bowlers it makes it a massive head on challenge and interesting. Sorry to say but i dont think india is a great place to watch cricket.
