Man I've been following your trans builds along with one other dude and it has really helped me with tearing apart and rebuilding mine. Anyone can do a job like this if they just take it apart and give it a shot with extremely valuable content such as yours to help guide along the way. Really appreciate it Austin, thanks!

Honestly not sick of it. You're the only guy out there in the youtube world with these quality videos. I have a r150f 4wd and can't tell you how much your videos came in clutch with overhauling my transmission on my 97 4runner. Keep it up! Respect! I appreciate you and your content so much. A tranferscase rebuild would be great! Cant find much information out there. I have a J shifter type no 4wd button, and cant find much information out there. I believe its a VF1A driver side drop transfercase.

Mine pops out of first, even if you try to hold it in. It would just pop out without a grinding. Now it grinds if you try to hold it in . All the other gears work fine . Man your friend is a lucky guy.

I'm shocked at how little rust there was inside. I've seen transmissions and differentials that were sitting a long time and everything above the oil level was FUBAR from condensation.

Take those side shields off the bearings so fresh lubricant can circulate through them. It's a sealed case. It blows my mind that Toyota did that. It's the main reason the large support bearing fails.

Can you please share what specific size pipes (and sockets) you used to drive the bearings & where you sourced them? Also, what is that rod you used to drive the bearing in? It looks kinda like a railroad spike. Where could I get something like that? I'm considering doing this job, but I wanna make 100% sure I've got all the stuff I need beforehand.
