Oh we're so behind but this was a brilliant vlog ❤ The drone footage was incredible and it was great having a tour of the campsite. We think you guys gave a very fair review and you're spot on it's not for everyone...5 Tapas and 5 pints for 12 Euro...we can only imagine the quality of the food!! We don't have a motorhome or campervan but have travelled all over Spain by car, staying in hotes. On a short stay in Valencia nine years ago my wife decided she wanted to visit Benidorm to see where the TV series was filmed. We took a drive down to Benidorm from Valencia early in the morning. It took about 1.5 hours. We had an English breakfast there, best one we've ever had. We saw the hotels where the filming took place, had a quick walk around and left. Total time spent there was four hours. Same as you; not for us. On the way back to Valencia we discovered Xabia/Javea. The quieter part was great so a couple of days later we went back there for a full day. Loved it. Love your blogs. Happy travels.

Vamos a ver Benidorm es lo que es según si vas a la llamada " zona Inglesa" no vas a ver nada interesante solo tipos bebiendo pero si vas al mirador o al casco antiguo y tranquilo es mucho mejor está el Benidorm " feo" de locales para "guiris " ( turistas extranjeros)y el Benidorm bonito .

We visited for the day a week or so ago, the old part of Benidorm is worth a visit, but I agree 100% the newer part is awful, lots of people on mobility scooters that aren’t safe and lots of drunks around. I say your review is spot on, we are all entitled to our view

My mother and father in law used to have cheap winter breaks to Benidorm, loved it. One year (maybe 20 years ago) they were unwell and couldn’t go but could transfer the trip to us. So we had a free package holiday to Benidorm. It was impressively clean everywhere just a bit boring, wasn’t really anything to see apart from the small old town. The few ‘lager louts’ didn’t cause us any grief but it didn’t exactly make you feel proud to be British. Not yet rushed to go back. We used to have a 7.4m motorhome that would ground out on all sorts of things, definitely would have struggled getting onto that site. We are looking to potentially change motorhome again this year and not having a massive overhang is one of the things we look out for.

We lived in benidorm for 18mts till moving inland it's a place you either love or hate but benidorm has something for everyone of any age , so you need to experience more of Benidorm to realy give a good opinion 🙂

Oh young Redders's , youve hit it right on the nail . An honest opinion and like you we've been , but like you , my (our) evening consists of a bit of KZbin , a bit of tele and bed at ten . Up in the morning and a good walk , a leisurely day , possibly an afternoon wine and a snooze and for the old Redders's , thats bliss . We're here for the sunshine , not the cheap booze , the sunshine is cheaper . Yes we've been , we were dragged there last year by an over enthusiastic brother in law , four days of hell trying to pretend we were old youngsters . Probably never again . To us, the Poniente end of Benidorm (ie the southern Spanish side) is lovely and as well as Tapas Alley itself, there are some wonderful Galician restaurants just off the alley itself of superb quality. We saw the Levante beach once and have never returned but often pop into Benidorm parking on the southern side for something to eat. The bay itself is amazing and you can see why developed but just a little too much for me. There are definitely better places to go on the Costa Blanca as you have clearly found and you haven’t even touched the inland jewels yet!

Campsite looks great definitely going to give it a try. Never been to Benidorm but like you we aren’t late night people. Each to their own I say. Wouldn’t do to all be the same much like marmite. If people can’t leave civilised comments then don’t watch! You are giving honest reviews of how you found the town and why. Take no notice of the negative Nellie’s some people are born miserable 🙄❤️

Must admit that Benidorm does not hold any interest for me but it's "horses for courses" ! On a separate matter our Allpower S1500. turned up. Well impressed . Also works well with our Ecoflow solar panels. Tested today and with limited sun still supplied 110 Watts. Enjoy the rest of your stay. Sid and Nicola, Rugby.

Benidorm wasnt for us either, everyone has own opinions, catching the train and having a couple of hrs, is enough. We prefer the smaller parts like moraria, calpe ext. X

You have to see Benidorm at least once. I think drunken British pensioners are not something you want. I dont know if Benidorm palace is still there but that was fantastic entertainment but we wouldnt normally look for the night entertainment, we would be in bed by 10pm. Im glad locals are cleaning up after their dogs they never used to. Good video.

May I recommend Santa Pola on the other side of Alicante, it’s a lively & mainly Spanish seaside place. Full of fresh fish restaurants. Also if you can navigate to Arenols del,Sol ( Torrevieja side of Alicante ) then put in your sat nav Camino del Cabo which a lovely Coastal road towards Santa Pola. You will find plenty of nice places to stop along the route. Many motorhomes often stay overnight. Hope you enjoy, really enjoying your travels as an ex motorhomer and knows this area well.

❤️there are lots of hire centres here , and it seems to be a mode of transport for anybody and everybody between pubs, the streets are quite busy with them , making it tricky for those who genuinely need them to get around .. ponytails often obscuring their vision 🤭😂 thanks for watching x

Ah yes, I haven't commented on youtube before because we usually walch you on the big tv and it doesnt allow comments. Not even toothpaste ones!! We agree with your comments on Benidorm but my daughter anddd her partner love it, the banter, the cheap food and drink, and the sun. Each to their own, we said that before we arrived. Anyway we left and went to Murcia, lovely city in parts, but the tram inspectors are not dog friendly. But thats for another day. Anyway thanks for another vlog, very illuminating.

@@redsgotravels No fly zone which covers recreational camera drones. Big fines, and they will even check that you have fireproof ID labels. It covers from Alicante, all, the way down the coast to Cartagena. The Enaire website and APP has all the drone maps. It's a dead loss trying to fly legaly at times over here. The current NOTAM is for NATO hi energy exercises.

Much appreciated, I use DJI fly which fortunately flags up the no fly zones , I’ve registered my drone and done the online assessment to gain approval to fly in Europe , the laws here are a bit more stringent than the uk, really appreciate the heads up 👍🌞

Really enjoyed your observations on Benidorm just how I imagined it. Living in Scarborough we have an influx of men with ponytails , aggressive daytme drinking, badly fitting trakkie bottoms, loud women wearing kiss me quick hats, out of control children, stale ale breath, pavement pizzas, need I go on? Hi Dave, thanks for asking , many toll roads have been declassified , but on average they are about 10 euros per 100 km, we’ve done a mix and match so putting a total is tricky , but Spain is very cheap compared to France tolls, if you google travel to Alicante with tolls and then without , it should give you an idea , but it also varies with size of motorhome etc , hope that’s of use 🙂🙂

Only ever seen it on TV/you tube etc but it appears to be only fit for boozing. The old town looks nice. I think booze is a big problem and the behaviour is shocking.From some boozers I've seen on You Tube I can only feel sorry for them.❤

Great vlog again. Highlighting the campsite cleanliness etc. You put a disclaimer up and state clearly its just your opinion so good on you. Never apologise for how you like to live and what appeals to you both. Im a working class snob - I know it and im happy with that. No way do i want to be amongst boozers cussing and sounding arrogant. I steer clear of such behaviour choosing for quieter surroundings close up to nature and ppl id have in my tribe. Enjoy your continued travels.

Hi Mandy ! ❤️ it can, it’s so easy to get carried away seeing all the lovely food , we had five courses and 2 drinks for just under £30 , and walked up to the castle for a bargain coffee and cake x 🙂
