If a non ahlul-kitab (people of the book) presented us with food, ie a person from the Hindu Faith, is it permissible to eat it as a Muslim?

Thank you for this video. There is usually a polite and or a non polite way to do or say something. The term " halal police" implies the latter. We see where this can go extreme by observing wahabis. When it comes to food it seems best when we become aware of the great amount of pollution and bio engineering of commercial foods, to seek the cleanest and most natural ingredients we can obtain.

If we stop mentioning haram, everything will become halal by default. This is wrong. 6th Imam qas pointing to a different principle, which is not to nit pick in other people's actions. It is wrong to judge if someone did wrong or right. But when someone wants to know or help in identifying haram food then it is a service, not judgement.

Let them not believe in allah, that allah will judge after their death. But how come thay become najis and tehir food become not-eatable for us .. Let’s say I blind you. Then I feed you something. It taste like fish and smells like fish and even feels like fish but still your not certain it’s fish because your on a blind fold. Islam ice ruling according to him is you can assume it’s not a fish. His rationale is so dumb. Use your common sense. Of course if my neighbour gives me a vegetable samosa that they told me they cooked it I would not eat it. What a stupid logical way of answering. Let’s be frank, certain foods can be haraam like coke not because of the ingredients but to whom they are supporting according not to me but according to merja. Please don’t make accuse us of being police but ambril maroof is there for a reason to guide not to insult. How you go about it matters for sure. I am no scholar but logic is simply needed. Dear brothers, please use your logical mind to determine and make an effort in your rationale.

Listen to his KZbin during the part when people complain certain chocolates or drinks are haraam and saying whether we are mujtahids in that connotation. I work for a food manufacturing company for years and it’s normal to put crazy beetles and various bugs that no mujtahid would ever know.

Problems I have with this video. 1. Regarding the hadith, since Imam is infallible, how could he have left a part unwashed? 2. Assuming that in the ghusl the part was indeed unwashed, it was at the back where there are grounds for reasonable doubt whether it was washed or not. How can you even doubt something that has a near impossibility like cooking without touching food? The chances of a person cooking and not touching the food, or the vegetables (while cutting them) or the utensils (while washing them) is next to null. It's not even considered within the legal definition of a doubt where the chances are 50-50. 3. The term halal/haraam police is offensive. As Shias, part of our core belief is amr bil maaruf and nahu anil munkar. 4. Regarding the problem with chocolates, you don't need to be a mujtahid. The ingredients are listed at the back and many of these chocolates are not suitable for vegetarians and made in non muslim countries. How do you establish that it is halal animal product used?

Salaam, with regards to your first question, I have heard this hadith and have heard it is reliable too. This doesn't affect infallibility at all. The Imams (a) in duas showed us how to do tawba, does that mean the Imams (a) sinned astaghfirullah? No, it was done to teach us. Perhaps the Imam (a) was trying to teach us a lesson here too. I've heard scholars explaining that one of the lessons from this hadith might be that we shouldn't be obsessive and overly doubtful when it comes to washroom issues and that Islam is easy and Allah (swt) is al rahman and al rahim...The scholars were saying how some people spend too much time washing themselves in the washrooms, redoing acts of worship, thinking too much about tahara/najasah, but this is not good. Islam is easy and we should be moderate in our acts of worship. The scholars were saying that when it comes to tahara/najasah matters, we should just do the necessary and then just relax and take it easy, and not overthink and overcomplicate matters for ourselves or others as well. If we do end up overlooking something or making a natural/accidental human error, inshaAllah Allah (swt) will forgive us and accept our amaal. BUT, when it comes to eating and drinking, I've heard scholars say it's good to be more careful. I feel that using that hadith about ghusl was not appropriate in this case. When it comes to food, if you know it’s made by a polytheist, it's perfectly reasonable and often encouraged to avoid eating it (based on what I've seen from other scholars), as what we eat has an impact on the soul. Also, I really like your third point!

@@abbasmaheryar1111 . What's the ayah tatheer all about? This is fake. I won't take anyone's word for it on internet. Will talk to a local alim or I don't even need to talk on this subject as it is vain. The internet moulvis have brought down the a'immah so much that their followers are discussing the "intercourse" of Imams. @@Hussain-ib1it Your reason is the lazy version of the pretend-we-are-dull. Imam asking for forgiveness doesn't even compare with Imam forgetting ghusl step. Forgiveness is natural for any makhlooq. Anything (any shay) other than Allah has the right to ask forgiveness because of the might of the Lord. That same thing doesn't apply to ghusl. Imam would teach ghusl, have mustahab ghusl, but wouldn't declare the wajib ghusl since even we don't declare any wajib ghusl. How was it then recorded by a narrator? May God protect me from Internet moulvis.

the cook makes something haraam and sells it to me and states the ingredients as being haraam. Do I really need a mujtahid to tell me it’s haraam ? We are not blind to use our akl. Do you know how upsetting it is to me and my conscious if I see a momeen brother eating haraam who doesn’t know and how much I want to help and guide him knowing he will take it with guidance. I recommend you should take this KZbin out of your controversial speech.

This is so absurd. Allah created akl before he created deen. When asked why it was stated akl is in deen. We all know the logic of doubt. Allow me to give you an example. If I were to blind fold you and give you a food that smells like fish, feels like fish, and tastes like fish, but i tell you it’s not a fish. Would you believe me or in your heart you would say it’s a fish. Trust your heart and use your akl.
