Are you sure Chad wasn’t playing ping pong in the background while you were working and filming? What a fantastic outcome for the owner! Talk about making chicken salad out of chicken poo! This owner was truly blessed to have found both you and Chad to come up with a fantastic work a round for what appears to be a poorly designed roof structure ( or at least not built for longevity).

james, i replaced the luaun on the back wall of my rv earlier this year, using the router with a trim bit just like you were. could one use a putty knife to smooth out the Dicor or Silicone (around the skylights and vents)? I know smoothing it doesn't help with the sealing, but it would look better. Would a putty knife or "plastic bondo spreader tool" work or would that just make a big mess?
@AZExpert3 жыл бұрын
The roof sealants are self-leveling so most tooling would still spread out. It generally turns out better if left alone. This stuff is more like honey and makes little strings that make a mess

Have a question. Ordered some roof sealant through a Winnebago dealer for our 15 class A with Fiberglass roof. They sent SikaFlex 715. Is that correct for fiberglass? Says its manly for EPDM roofs. Thanks man!

@@AZExpert I just got ahold of Winnebago. They say the Sikaflex715 is the new sealant for rvs that originally came with Black Nuco Sealant. But the sika needs a primer to use. What would you do in this situation?

Nuco is nuflex311 , but in black(green label instead of Yellow)

Why did the roof fail? Was it a one off mistake or is it how all mini winnies are constructed. May have been cheaper to buy a new RV.

The whole RV industry needs to re-calculate the way they cheaply manufacture , and then they want to charge premium prices .I’m hoping there’s a lot more lawsuits against these companies, it’s ridiculous.
