Cheezuz lads, that Alpine (pronounced Alpeen..... .like the F1 team!!!)....... bloody knee-trembling motor back in the late 80's, early 90's (that motor you were looking at is April 93). When I passed my test in 1989, these things looked like spaceships - gorgeous!!!! (And yes, owned by Renault, but you'll need to hit Wikipedia for the history! 🤣)

A610 is a Renault Alpine, early 90s, an updated version of the 80s GTA V6. The white Audi isn't a Quattro, it's an Audi Coupe with quattro 4wd. It's the same bodyshell, but with no turbo and no flared/blistered wheelarches, also bumpers are different. Green MG is a B Riley Elf is a Mini with a bigger boot and restyled front.

Thankyou Gentlemen . You haven't got time to watch Dennis Collins ...😆 white kit car was a Unipower and used mini subframes , engines . These were one of numerous specialists in the 1960's who made these. The most desirable , and expensive was the Ogle . That 325 drophead is definitely worth a shout and the mini countryman could be a good buy . The Rover 2000 could be a cheap way into classics . Thanks guys

Moped. I had a NSU Quickly and the furthest I rode it in one day was from Norwich to Worcester 180 miles I think. Then en route to Reading the chain broke leaving me stranded. Then a chap driving an empty low loader stopped and asked where I was heading. He put the moped on the back and dropped me off in High Wycombe near a motorcycle shop. Once back on the road ended up in Reading before the last drive back to Norwich.

Woah, woah, woah, stop the horses there boys!!!!! Being the owner of an actual factory Porsche 944 Cabriolet (1989 3 litre S2..... the year they came out!!), that front end and reg plate hit me like a gaggle of kippers! Quick DVLA check, and that is a 1984 2.5 coupe, so that conversion is an after market (though very bloody good, as from the video, looks pretty much bang on an original from 89 like mine!). I would love to know more history on that one, see who did the conversion - and even more interested to see what it goes for (not that I have any intentions of selling mine any time soon........ I bought it as a 30th birthday present to myself, and I'm now 52 and still have it!!! 😉) *edit* The radio aerial in an original S2 is actually in the windscreen, and not poking out of the wing - I just noticed it!).

Alpine A610 - lovely car, rare in RHD. Alpine produced cars at their factory in Dieppe. Their A110 rally car was very successful in the early 70's. The latest Alpine coupe takes a lot of it's styling cues from the A110.. Unipower GT - very rare, but did you say £60K ?? Never. Honda 500 Four - relatively easy to kick over. My brother had the 750 Four, which DID have an electric start, but yes, you COULD kick it over quite easily.

The deal included a trip to the JLR factory. and 3 things happened. 1/ He noted that the moderns were assembled by robots the old Defender was hand built by a cast of hundreds 2/ His daughter who went with him decided she wanted to work at JLR and became an apprentice there. 3/ He gets it serviced at the dealers. Every time he does they offer him nearly what he paid for his 8 year old car. When was a car that you use as a daily that good value?
