Amazing video never done a lynx yet but I had a Gameboy with mostly the same problem no picture but game was "running" also turned out to be the CPU

Thanks for your very interesting video. You always try to explain how things works before attempt an fix and is very useful for us. I have an lynx2 with black screen, no sound, contrast wheel none effective. After reading some posts on internet, as the one in this video, my hayato chip must be dead :( Best regards, Nicolas

Contrast wheel isn't controlled by Hayato so it won't be that. Apply ground to metal sheild on back of motherboard and 5V (not 9) directly to battery positive. See what happens

@@RetroSix thanks a lot for your advice. I put 5v on c41 capacitor (from memory) to bypass original circuit and always same thing. Black screen, no sound, contrast wheel none effective. I doesn't own an oscilloscope so I will try to replace ram but I have only little hope. Best regards, Nicolas
