I never realized about the screen on the VSLI Mikey vs the standard Lynx 2. I had a bad screen and a bad Suzy and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t getting video. Bridged the points and boom fully functional. Thank you 🙌🏻

Man made faults are always the hardest to find, Well done fault finding that diode :). I hope from the Wiki people will now have enough data so they can reference where and how components are on the Lynx, it's great to have board scans as a reference. It's really appreciated by at least me, even if i only repair my own having those references is a godsend. Thanks Luke and keep up the good work.

Thanks glad it's useful. I've just setup a donate link on homepage of wiki now as I do keep getting asked about that. Feel free to donate me coffee money 🙂

Awesome and clear explanation of the power circuit and fault finding. Still have to do a couple of lynx repairs and your wiki will definitely help when I get the time to do so. Thanks for making the wiki and your videos!

LOVE your videos, thank you SO much for all your hard work and info, I've got two of these that I need to use this info to try and fix, unfortunately I believe I fed 9v into one of them while troubleshooting at first and believe I have fried either mikey/suzie chips prior to learning your info. :-( We will see !

I've put 9V into them before and it's not always total wipeout. It usually wipes out the power circuit but not main chips

Hi, sorry to jump on your video but o can’t find any contact info for you anywhere. I have a game boy and I bought a game and put it in the console and my console went off and won’t come back on. It was working perfect before I tried this game and I was wondering if you can fix it. The battery is not corroded or anything like that because like I say it was working perfectly. Thanks.

I really wish somebody would reverse engineer the Mikey and Suzy ICs and design a modern replacement PCB for both Lynx models so we can resurrect dead Lynxes and prevent them from dying ever again. The Game Gear already has a replacement PCB for all three boards, probably won't be long before somebody makes a FPGA replacement of the custom ICs on it. I'm honestly too scared to continue modding my Lynx because the chips still work. Such a fragile console electrically. Plus the excessive use of flat-flex cables that inevitably rip or break connectors. If Atari Gamer weren't in Australia, I'd probably just send my Lynx there to get modded. I've modded consoles before, but the Lynx truly is a more awkward console to mod imo, so it's not entirely a skill issue.

@@RetroSix This shipment is still not here i didn't buy tracking information, but how can i know it ever arrived? I ordererd more than a month ago. And i live in Poland its strange that it takes that long? Instead if you buy something from China it would arrive already. Im pretty sure that it arrived but maybe at a wrong adress?? Pls help
