So I don't know if this idea actually works, but I think it would be mega cool to have a sort of final "highlight collage" that shows a multitude of throws simultaneously, edited over the top of one another. From a fixed camera perspective, a throw and just a dozen/twenty/hundred darts all flying through the loop in slow motion, showing the cluster of results as they were. Not being an editor myself, I have no idea if this idea actually makes any sense, I suspect the answer is no, but the image is in my head and I wanted to share it.

Secondly.... The "handbrake" may be a combination of 'loop sag' and the 'slip' on the black plastic dulling as the plastic warmed throughout the shoot... WHEN you crazy West Coast kids revisit this trick... i suggest an underarm (controversial) technique... standing in line with the loop... That should: A. Increase the difficulty on future Bull's-eye adventures. (Most important ;p ) B. Lessen the lean in/over issue and put LESS strain on your wrist elbow and shoulder. (Saftey first-ish) C. Offer you greater velocity and a flatter approach to the loop meaning you should see greater air off the other end... D. With greater Velocity, gives opportunity to put a small lip exit ramp! E. Also consider taking a few Carpenters Pencils with you... Graphite is a dry lubricant... draw on wherever you want/need more slippery. ;) F. Make the loop slightly elliptical in the vertical line... and with a slight increase in runway approach will mean that more of the momentum lost in the up, will offer a little more returned on the down with a steeper exit to a short run to the lip. If i think of anything else I'll add them later... Swiss out.

Yeah as soon as he said handbreak i was looking at the loop and you can tell its sagging alot, which would really drive down momentum as the dart is going through the loop. Could also use cooking spray to help ease the friction of the plastic fletchings, and really blunting the tips if they are sharp, tho that could effect how they stick in the board.

I don't think that would actually work given that the dart would hit the ramp at around 107km/h whereas the average speed for a dart throw is around 60km/h... very high chance that whatever ramp they tried to use would just be pierced repeatedly without successful attempts. It may be possible but the precision required (and even allowing for wind from 45m up) would be incredibly difficult to calculate and adjust for on the fly.
