9:39 Those green street signs are good clue for Ljubljana. And in Maribor they would be same kind but red. (also Prague signs are red but different) 18:19 There seems to be bengali script near ground that could be zoomed. Gen3 white car is a good hint for Bangladesh too if you can get the region otherwise. 33:02 Sri Lanka with sinhala script, long white number plates on front, short yellow on back. 41:18 This is extremely easy Cambodia, that kind of language would only be Thailand, Cambodia and Laos. Driving side and lack of Laos yellow number plates makes it obvious. Also if you are in Africa and see blue number plates it's going to be Senegal.

Hey Josh, if you're reading this at 1:01:04, there was an (MPH) speed limit sign, so that narrows it down to the United States, United Kingdom, Myanmar or Liberia. The speed humps sign also narrows it down further to just the United Kingdom or the United States.

Don't be so quick in making assumptions about these ranks. They are there because they know some stuff, and don't know a lot of other stuff. Maybe it just so happened that the stuff he knew appeared later in the duel. Without seeing his replay it's impossible to tell if he cheated
@Bear-ig5gu18 күн бұрын
@MartinLobb It's not necessarily cheating, but it's pretty obvious that he was purposely getting the early rounds wrong on purpose

Another banger video, you've already improved a lot. With Zig's coaching and diligent practice you'll continue to improve super fast. I'm pretty sure your score will hold up for promotion into Gold, so congrats! Think you'll enjoy the map in Gold a lot more, since instead of "you know it and get a 5k, or you don't know it and you lose" everything is a lot more measured. People will not be getting perfect rounds very often, and people will make more mediocre guesses, providing a nice sense of variety.

Just a little hint…look at the geography of the area a bit more especially when selecting it on the map. With the Lima guess, the mountains should’ve pointed you somewhere else (which you picked up) and then with the second St Petersburg the architecture and lack of water sources should’ve pushed you away from Kazan…all things you could see on the map when you select these places. Really been enjoying watching this series!

Quick tip for better guessing… Think about your guess before you make it… For example: the Brazil guess around 7:30, itsreally urban, really built up… so more than likely it’s downtown, near the city center, not in the suburbs Other examples, you terrain/map clues to make better guesses If you know you are in Germany and see a mountain range to the south, you can almost guarantee you are in southern Germany… so no point in guessing central Germany. Same goes for basically every other country. You can see elevation changes on the geoguesser map so take advantage of that. See a big body of water? Maybe guess near a large lake or near the coastline… just little contextual clues go a very long way when it comes to region guessing

57:44 the US interstates (Blue badge with red on top and 2 digit number) are really difficult but in general: the higher the number, the more North and East you are. If it ends in 5 then you are traveling North/South and if it ends in 0 then you are traveling East/West. The major interstates start with i5 running North/South along the West coast, and go across to i95 that runs along the East coast. For East/West it starts with i10 in Texas and goes up to i90 that loosely follows the Northern border

With the U.S. Interstate numbers, ones that end in 0 (I-10, I-20, …, I-90) run east-west, with I-90 being the northernmost. Ones that end in 5 (I-5, I-15, …, I-95) run north-south, with I-95 being the easternmost. Hope that’s helpful
