This man is so gentle in everything he does, I’m so glad he’s a Christian influencer, sometimes I catch myself talking like he does because it’s so acceptable and non-confrontational

This WAS a good chat! Praise God for choosing to open this young man’s eyes and ears to hear the truth of the Gospel! ❤

If the churches in Galatia, that were planted by Paul himself, could abandon the gospel he clearly gave to them, it seems reasonable for me to think the churches that weren’t directly taught by Paul, or any of the apostles, could also fall into error.

"How do you know you're interpreting your interpreter correctly?" I laughed out loud at this. So simple, yet so true! It's not helpful to add layers between the text with its intended meaning and our ears receiving it.

You're doing a good job of teaching through asking questions. Using good pointers from Ray, too. 😊 I could use a dose of your patience and your easy-going manner. Glory to God for what He is doing in and through you!

I often ask Catholics if good words are a requirement for salvation or the result of salvation. They never give a simple answer-unless they say it is a requirement for.

You know, i read the Bible quiet often and it's simple to understand, like, i maybe from a poor country like Argentina but i know how to read and comprehend a text. Even Paul in his 1st letter to the Corinthians 6-9 said Now, brothers,[a] if I come to you speaking in tongues, how will I benefit you unless I bring you some revelation or knowledge or prophecy or teaching? 7 If even lifeless instruments, such as the flute or the harp, do not give distinct notes, how will anyone know what is played? 8 And if the bugle gives an indistinct sound, who will get ready for battle? 9 So with yourselves, if with your tongue you utter speech that is not intelligible, how will anyone know what is said? For you will be speaking into the air. And, before that, Paul said in the verse 2-3: For one who speaks in a tongue speaks not to men but to God; for no one understands him, but he utters mysteries in the Spirit. The whole NT is really writting to be understood. The apostles didnt try to boast with strange or hard words like a philosopher or something, they were pretty clear when writting the Word of God. Take another example, Jesus when He tells His parables, no one could understand, so He had to explain those so everyone can understand the meaning of His parables.

Catholics seems to forget that People are not made for the Church .... Rather Church is made for people who Trust in Christ ✝️ When you give too much power to the Church it becomes corrupt 😔 Like the Pharasies who gave too much importance to the man made traditions than to the word of God itself.

Exactly, well said brother. If you need an external interpreter/mediator for the eternal mediator who’s Jesus Christ we’re to build a relationship with, then you’re not establishing a relationship Christ.

Christians don't need a Pope or Magisterium to interpret Scripture. When proper hermeneutics are applied any Christian can understand the Scriptures. But the reader needs to understand the bible has several different genres throughout the 66 books. There is historical narrative, wisdom literature, poetry, apocalyptic law, and prophecy. N two genres will be read the same. for example, The Gospels are not read same as the Psalms. When reading through a book it's always helpful to know who the target audience is. What is the author trying to communicate to the audience? Watch out for parables, metaphors, allegory or figurative language. Use a study bible, commentaries or opinions of various scholars to help interpreting difficult passages.

Actually it's the Pope who needs someone to interpret the Bible to him. He doesn't know our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Outside the pope, the other writings Roman Catholics hold to as high as scripture have the same problem of interpretation as Protestants have with the Bible.

Q: Should infant baptism be practiced because of Acts 16:33?
@NeedGodnet2 ай бұрын
No, because it says the word was spoken to his entire household, which implies they received it and believed it by the fact that they chose to get baptized and even rejoiced in it (v34). So that’s actually just another example of believer’s baptism
