I remember one really old deck on NR when you played both ciri and ciri dash and entire appeal of the deck was to have card adventage no matter what your opponent did You lost round 1 and was on blue coin? No problem you have 2 card adventage anyways without tempo passing

Yeah I remember that one too, there was also a “machine gun” NR witchers deck where you spawned a bunch of adepts on the melee row, gave them veil, and used stockpile to reduce the cool-down - I think it would be even less viable now but I might try combining them

Yeah! This is so coo... Oh, hello, mutagenerator.

I'd love to see your take on an Assimilate deck! I think it is one of the most interesting and dynamic archetypes and I'd love to see how you pilot it.

Do you think NR can create a viable Witchers (full-on-Witchers that is) deck? I've been playing around them lately, but it seems to me that it just lacks something I cannot yet name.

It does not lack anything, if u play griffin with erland, unleas u face control. Whitch is often these days. So ye it lacks a lot. And u can play mostly witchers but casually thowwing in a human(dandelion or anseis, or anything else usefull) or relic(allgod) is much more beneficial than limiting yourself to witchers. **allgod for trio and dude with no skin, dont remember his name, only that hes cost is 8p

Maybe. King Roegnar and Shields with GN relying on Keldar and Griffin Witcher Adept has worked alright for me in the past and I'll probably try it out with the Immortal Cavalry buff. The Witcher trio works very nicely with the Scythmen, especially if you boost them in deck with a 7p based Mutagenerator for example. In Uprising that also lets you do some strong shorter round plays with the last leader charge. I might try out a couple non-GN versions at some point to see if adding in the control or other options works better. I've always had a couple issues with NR Witchers though. The NR Witchers themselves really don't work too well together compared to the other factions, especially the bronzes. The ST Witchers all revolve around movement (although Saboteur and Gezras usually go in different decks), the SK ones have some good damage/self damage synergies and payoff, and the NG ones (other than Letho, Auckes, Serrit, and Ivar which are more midrange) work to manipulate deck size for Kolgrim decks. NR's all do pretty different things. Mentor is pretty much just a Priestess/Melitele card, Ranger is too situational although theoretically it could work with Coen and Mad Kiyan other cards do it better, and Griffin Witcher is different from the rest and needs Veil to not be mediocre. Erland goes in his own deck. Adept and Keldar have good synergy and work with Target Practice, but that's a very small package. It makes it hard to fit a lot Witchers into the deck and you end up needing to find other synergies to build around like shields or row stacking for things like Scythemen (which really makes you wish you had a card like Armor Up to spawn students, especially for Adept). The best engines are Immortals + Sorceress and Keldar + Griffin Witcher Adept but that's not many and they are 2 card combos which are vulnerable to disruption. You can run Windhalm in Shieldwall but decks with a decent amount of control (locks in particular) can shut them down since there aren't a lot. Outside of Witchers and some shield stuff it's hard to find good synergies to run in the deck. Unlike something like SK Witchers there really aren't that many great control options either so if your engines get shut down and your deck struggles to stop the opponent's you run into problems. Especially since you really want GN in NR Witchers most of the time. There's probably a way to make a decent NR Witcher deck. For me it's always been hard considering how much of the Witcher synergies want you to have a lot of Witchers on the board to transform with Adept, keep Berenger alive, and payoff with Axii and Leo while you don't want to play most of your in faction Witchers in the same deck.

@@platinumpatrol2964 I think you nailed the part about NR Witchers not really working well together (apart from Keldar and Adepts) and them being just thrown around with no real synergy toward each other. Another thing, not NR-only, about Witchers is that although Adrenaline is a good concept, it, again, works well with other, non-Witcher cards, otherwise you may more often than not get stuck with Adrenaline 2-4 cards, while being at 4+ cards in hand. It's a shame really that the archetype never got polished in a way that it could work as a sole package, but I'm still looking forward to whatever you may come up with in the future!

I agree about the Adrenaline. You can end up with some really awkward hands and situations. It's why I didn't put the Trio in this deck. I like the idea of most of the NR Witchers. Ranger + Kiyan/Coehn in particular is a really neat concept, it's just a shame it's too hard to actually pull off. I really wish Ranger was based on the units in your own row, but oh well. At least there are decks most of them can go in. @@Crus2121
