I don’t use FL Studio, and this video was super-entertaining and informative. Just got my M1 MBP with the M1 Max processor, and I have been loving it. Great to see a real-world push by a trio of producers making a cool beat while layering and pushing the computer, and wow this was way better than simply just adding plugins and copying the same tracks. Also, it got me out of a funk with Massive X; when I heard that it was working on my laptop, I was wondering why mine still was not updating in Native Access, since it broke shortly after it was released. But I found that after reinstalling it, the plugin works; very good to know! Thanks for this; dope!

Supposedly Rosetta's translation takes up 20-30% more CPU than if everything was native and I've only ever hit 65 inside FL Studio (which doesn't represent actual CPU usage, it is less) and I run 100+ tracks with multiple 3rd party plugins. Definitely glad I made the switch.

What would u suggest for me I use like 10 heavy plugins like autotunes, some fab filters, compressors etc mainly for my songs I have a template setup and I use like 10 tracks rn and I can’t really do much more or it will start clipping and shit. I can’t do like one automation of extra delay without my speakers seem like they’re popping. I have my latency on 64ms so I can hear my effects when I record and I change it higher when I mix but still get the problem. I feel like this laptop in the video is over kill any suggestion for a mac?

Is this at 64 buffer? Or 1024? Because honestly if I did the same test (5950x) I can avoid crashing by raising the buffer. Wish you would've showed that.

its a good laptop for a music producer on the go but i don't know how long that ssd in that laptop is going to last due to high writes but in Windows laptops/PC it can be replaced easily if it damages, moreover choosing a higher ram and storage is also necessary cus if it isn't enough in future you can't upgrade it. But taking a higher end model can be expensive too, so i think building a higher end pc for that money which can out perform that laptop it better + PC can be upgradable so its future proof too... .

Yep latency kills the greatness of these machines... If you cant play plugins with zero or almost zero latency this is trash... And nobdy does videos of actual playing without latency... Everybody makes these useless stress test lolz... Sorry.

@@pinoysimpilot7394 Yup. Fortunately, VI latency on macOS outperforms that on Windows as it has one less thing to worry about (DPC latency). The rest is CPU and driver performance. RME is king when it comes to latency and driver reliability.
