The key isn't just playing games. It's also guys that batted at the top of the lineup. Juan Pierre I always know because he holds records for most outs for various teams.

Also gotta remember that a 5 hole hitter for a good offense who doesn't walk a lot will have almost as many at bats as a leadoff hitter who walked a ton

@@jeremybingham3708 Sure but the large majority of these guys are guys that batted top 3 in the lineup. And I would bet leadoff hitters are a very significant amount. I mean just look at 2024 Duran Semien Altuve Arraez Henderson Ohtani Volpe All spent the majority of their season leading off. Tovar mostly batted 2nd while also leading off at times and Witt and Reynolds batted 2nd. Leadoff hitters are the key to the list.
