[Astronomy]What if all planets in the solar system are squeezed inside the habitable zone? Let’s see what happens!
Hey, It's a pleasure to write a comment down below! :P
Questions:
Q1: What are you doing? Planetballs?
A1:Planetballs are basically same to Countryballs, the difference is the character, not countries, but space objects including stars, planets, moons and even galaxies. This is my 54th animation.
Q2: Where's the habitable zone?
A2: A place where liquid water is allowed to sustain.
Q3: Do you have more videos like this!
A3: Of course...! Check my channel or go to my playlists below!

It's basically about...well, what if we took these icy worlds and put them in the inner solar system near Earth, where they would have water instead? Wouldn't that be awesome? Well unfortunately no, because these moons/asteroids are too small to KEEP their water once it's liquid, because they have no magnetic fields. The solar winds are way stronger where Earth is than where they normally orbit, and the ice crust that USED to protect the rest of their water is also melted because of the warmth. The gas giants will last longer but are starting to lose atmopshere way faster than before, too. So the moral of the story is: Unless you're big enough to be a _sustainable_ waterworld, maybe stay further away from the Sun and keep frozen--or you're gonna have a bad time. ;)

Yeah, that's pretty much what would happen. "Yay, I'm a water world now! ...oh wait. I can't hold onto my water!" (melts) Which shows that, weirdly, Europa (for example) is already AT the perfect place, because it's far from the Sun enough for a layer of _ice_ to protect the water ocean, and close enough to Jupiter for the tidal forces to make the lower part BE an ocean in the first place.

New video suggestion: Solar system reaction having 4 seasons Also, I found your lovely channel and your animation video by youtube recommendation (Thanks Algorithm) and that video was the "Solar system reaction to replacing the sun". I was very intrigued and mesmerize of how amazing that is. Keep up the good work and I hope you reach 100K subs! Your channel is growing really really fast! Last time I saw the recommended video you were like 29K-ish. Also if you reading this just a random question: Why the planets reaction are in pain...? that got me curious, is being on habitable zone has a downside for every planets?
@robinchesterfield42
@robinchesterfield42 2 жыл бұрын
I think it's because many of them are made out of stuff that would melt or dissolve away if they were heated up to habitable temperatures. Like, the icy moons had their ice turn into water (yay!) but they didn't have a magnetic field to KEEP that water against the solar wind (boo!) so they started dissolving away.

Nice video, just one thing Wouldnt the gas giants turn white due to water clouds forming? Also moons that are massive enough to hold onto water vapour would get an atmosphere made of it, and so they would be able to keep liquid water
@AstroCatz
@AstroCatz 2 жыл бұрын
An equilibrium point would be reached where there would be enough water vapor to prevent the oceans from boiling off. But in the case of Ganymede, how much water would escape into the space is unknown(how much ice is on the surface?) I think water would be underneath the hydrogen layer, tho for ice giants water clouds are indeed more likely to form

I wonder how the solar system would do when dealing with these. •A white dwarf. •Pulsars. •Magnetars. •Black hole. •Iron Stars. [From close to the black hole Era.] •The first stars to exist around 13.2 billion years ago. 1000-10000 masses of the sun. So maybe the planets call it ancestor? Quazi Stars. White holes. For the giggles why don't you try to add Thiea? The earth's nemesis from long ago.

Hell yes. I would love a video based on the cataclysm that was the solar system between 4.5 and 3.8 billion years ago. Uranus and Neptune switched orbits, Theia and Earth collided, mars and Venus were habitable, the moon formed, and Jupiter nearly destroyed the inner system, only to be pulled back out by saturn and the fifth giant, that got thrown out to the system.
