Today in Universe Sandbox we are making a habitable planet the size of THE SUN. Will a planet that big be survivable? Creating Earth-Like Planets in Universe Sandbox is something I've gotten pretty good at so lets see if its possible!

Surface gravity : 2.3 m/s^2. That's low, but, due to it's size, getting into orbit should be almost impossible. For one, the atmosphere would be about 4.3 times as thick (Kerman line at over 400Km), and, the orbital speed need to be at least 5 times higher. Around that planet, the ISS would need to be at over 2000Km.

I'm just astonished and in awe at how this game functions and how much they had to research about the planets and stars and so forth. kudos to the developers for making the cosmos into a simulation game and making it easy and exciting for laymen who don't know anything about the same.

Yup extremely low density combined with a super fast Rotational period will tend to fling all the mass of a planet into space as it rotates. Or it could make the planet shaped like an egg if it's Dense enough not to completely destroy itself

Simple answer. Earth's gravity = 1 G. Humans can survive no more than 5.5 G's. So, a habitable planet can be no more than 5.5 times the size of Earth.

If you make a habitual planet as big as the sun the gravity would be pulling on you to hard so if a plant was growing it would fall to the ground instantly and die same thing with creatures or humans

4:59 I think it’s a size glitch, the game probably doesn’t like it when you have an object that is supermassive and very sparse, as well as moving too fast for the structure to hold, making it break. 6:17 maybe that was from the destroyed texture.

when you put the planet down, it’s no longer showing the area that you need to put that specific planet, just a sort of general area. every object has a different distance for it to be habitable
