My friend's mom drove one of these in the early to mid-90s. To me this is just a normal car. This is how almost all the more luxurious cars were in the 80s. The LeSabre Limited was the model to get. You got the super nice velour interior with the Limited. There isn't anything not to like! Pretty sure that's 104,000 miles. There's no 100,000 miles digit. The last digit, with the black number on a white background, is 1/10 of 1 mile. He had the historic plates on the car so more recently it wasn't being used as a regular driver. The sticker on the rear window for the Olympics signified that Buick sponsored the 1984 Summer Olympics, which was held in Los Angeles that year. Buick was the official car of the Olympic games that year, so any cars needed by officials or for transporting people were Buicks. They had a special model of the Buick Century called the Century Olympia. It had special wheels and the 5 ring olympic insignia on the front seats. I don't know if they did that in any other Buick model. I must be old because I remember all of this from back then!

I just reviewed the video and noticed the Buick near the ending. Was the place cleaned out? Did Paul's leaking roof get fixed?

Can you use the VIN to get keys from a GM dealer? Get some twist-pins from Hobby Lobby, JoAnn fabrics, or Michael's to fasten the sagging headliner back to the fiberglass pad.

These late 70's-mid 80's cars are becoming a popular donor cars for frame and drive train swaps for the Post War (46-54) Hot Rods. They are cheap to buy, they are a disposable car because not many people are building them, they already have an updated drive train with parts widely available and the wheelbase is so close there's very little modifications to the floors/frame to mount them, plus you can sell the parts that are left over and good enough to reuse. That being said this car is in way too good of shape to tear apart, this one deserves to be put back on the road.
@HonJazzz2 ай бұрын
Interesting, I didn’t know they were being used for swaps like that. I’m excited to get wrenching on this.

She's always had Buicks they've been buying Buicks for over 50 years and she gets a new one every time the salesman brings one over to her and it's out there just in case she might need to drive somewhere and can't get one of her children to take her where she needs to go. And the car accumulated no miles. Grandma's security blanket.
