@@BriansPermacultureProject I have a super large bin size 24x4x2 feet bin + 100 reproduction bins + 6 large 8x2x2 feet nursery bins and to keep up with everything need to be really organized

Shame this was so long ago. First I would have watered them and put ground up oats on the surface of each bin. That way you would have saved more and see them come to the surface to feed and "drink". Also then you could have assess how many there are left. EVen the "dry" bins hold probably some moisture still and cocoons. Also you wouldÄve made your life easier as the worms woul get active and turn the bedding for you, or at least losen it up before turning. How did it go? Is the worm farm a success? Give us a tour if you can. And most of all good luck to you!

Looking great! What are you going to do for a cover? Maybe weed cloth or burlap or are you just going to use the original lids?

I like the idea of burlap! My partner and I discussed moving blankets, but those are synthetic, and we'd much prefer natural. Burlap fits the bill nicely, I believe.

On my IBC worm farms I used the top metal part of the frame and put shade cloth over it. I then put a sheet of dry cardboard (I get it from a place that unpacks pallets, the cardboard lines the bottom of the pallets) and I cut it to fit on top of castings to make it nice and dark.

How are you intending to harvest the castings once IBC are full. I have start two IBC worm farms but I'm not sure how to harvest the castings.

Why waste money and destroy perfectly good IBC totes? Maybe get large cardboard boxes and line with plastic instead.

I got a screaming good deal on the IBCs. I got them for $14 a piece, and I've sold off most of the good ones for anywhere from $60 to $125 each. I use the junky ones for our operation.
