The one thing I'd prefer is if they were treated a bit more like a review and if the videos ended with recommendations or summaries - like "It took us x long to figure out how to play, a typical game lasts x minutes/hours, it's fun for this type of player, would/would not play again" etc. etc.

@pigstuck He did say that, but him not showing up at all in any videos for such a long, long time can't just be "I don't like waking up early." You'd think he'd show up at least once or twice after months just because he happened to be around or wanted to just show up after not playing and getting to see all the new weapons and roles. Either way, he doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to do and I'd prefer if he enjoyed himself rather than for him to do something he doesn't want to do anymore.

I say this with love, but I've always thought that Tom is like a D&D character with a Charisma of 18 or 20 but played by an antisocial player. He's very quiet, his voice isn't very expressive, and he often fades into the background. But mysteriously, whenever he speaks, I find myself magnetically drawn towards him. Even though I feel his solo content is objectively boring, and he almost exclusively plays games I have 0 interest in... I watch his channel religiously, and he's by far my favorite content creator on youtube. I have no idea WHY he's this entertaining, but he just cracks me the hell up with dumb jokes, and something about his bearing makes me hang onto every single word. I don't get it!!!

I remember watching some of this stream (and being very lost, but I had to keep watching because Tom! and Ben! and Lydia!) It seems like a good implementation of a board-game style video game that really benefits from the medium. I did have some trouble following what was happening most of the time and it might not be the ideal type of stream for the casual viewer slash multitasking space cadet like myself, but I'm glad you guys played it because it looks like something I might try! There are a lot of games I'd never know about because I'm lazy and I prefer to watch previews from streamers that I like.

What I don't understand is why Berkley didn't get killed at 14:53 It was so obvious, at this point, Catherine was moving to kill him. However, Berkley moved first so they just... swapped places? I don't understand how a killer can ever catch up to kill someone in that case if the victim always moves first. They can constantly just keep switching places, the killer will constantly keep moving to where the victim WAS and not where he is NOW. Even if that means they literally walk over each other. The only explanation is that Tom fucked up and he didn't actually instruct Catherine to kill Berkley, he just moved her only? He should've been in range for a kill sprint though right?

@@DaveYognaut01 If I understand it correctly, the killer has to be in the same square as the victim -at the end of the full turn-, so 'passing through' each other's square doesn't count. At the start of the turn they're in different squares, and at the end of the turn they're in different squares. Even though the victim was in the same square as the killer for a few seconds, their actions are happening 'simultaneously' so to speak so it doesn't fit the three rules on the left of the screen.

As for 'constantly switching places', that is only a viable option if you know who the victim and killer are - and by the look of it once that's become known there's only one turn left before Sherlock 'wins'. And before both the killer and victim are 100% known, the Moriarty player's job is to sow confusion by moving other characters so the other players can't just keep moving possible victims back and forth - they have to try and use some sort of tactic to keep everyone safe until they know who is who.

@@niymeh342 I had a look around and it seems the issue is the killer needs to have line of sight / be in the same room to tell them to start a murder. In which case, the murderer can move 3 squares to kill them. They'll chase the victim regardless of where they move. So swapping places wouldn't work (However I suppose trolling and constantly swapping rooms to break line of sight would) Which is why they were saying they should try and keep the victims fed so in the worst case scenario, they can sprint 3 away and avoid being killed. However the issue we saw here was they didn't have line of sight. Ironically, if Catherine stayed completely still and where she was, Tom would have won even with Berkley being able to sprint. Makes sense now that I've seen it from another perspective.

Not sure if this helps but for a kill to be carried out, the killer must have obtained a weapon, and be standing in the same square as the victim by the end of the turn, without anyone else in the room (unless witnesses are impaired or the lights are out). You could technically move the victim around like that, however the killer also has an 'assail' command, where they move last and follow the victim as far as they can within their 3 square movement range, basically guaranteeing a kill if the kill conditions are met by the end of the turn WITHOUT needing to figure out where the Sherlocks are going to move the victim. That being said, it also reveals the villain and shortens the game to one turn if if fails.
