With no air roll and no recoveries, that should be the title ;) Chances for recoveries are really hard without air roll, just have to think to the half flip. Nice one, i don't want to learn air rol (basic shooting and positioning for shots yes, but not such a control for air dribble.). So really impressive shots knowing the complexity.

Air roll makes chaining together mechs easy but also takes some time (albeit a tiny bit) so if you can learn mechs without air roll, they’ll happen faster which is why so many power shots off walls got over the opponents and sometimes in the net

Aren't speed flips, wave dashes, half flips, and flip resets mechanics? I don't like being nitpicky which honestly most criticisms are, but no mechanics at least in my head would limit you to boosting, driving, jumping, and flipping (not including any roll).

Getting extremely technical (which I don't think is the point of the video) but rolling at all in the air to even position your car correctly would be a mechanic. So like you wouldn't be able to land correctly or do backboard touches without doing it backwards or reversed...which I think you 2 did very good with.

🤔 I feel like they want it to be mechanical shots, so those wouldn't be.. except resets. How is a triple flip reset mechanical, but a single one isn't? EDIT: Actually, they just mean no air roll 😂

They are, but half-flips and wavedashes are considered "recovery mechanics", meaning they are required if you want your recoveries to be perfect. And I don't mean like the different variants (zap dash, ceiling/wall, etc), just normal wavedashes. Half flip doesn't fall into that same trap but does have three variants (not counting different methods as different variants). Fwiw If you're using a half-flip to "recover" your rotations you're rotating wrong.

Leth video idea. 1v1 against every rank with no mechanics. And I mean no mechanics not like what you guys did here. Meaning you only keep the most basic things we all could do when we started playing. That means - driving, jumping, doublejumping, flipping, boosting. YOU CANT speed aerial, speedflip, walldash, wavedash, aerial higher than doublejump, cant flip into ball mid air, cant do ANY freestyle or aerial play, cant ground dribble and flick. Of course that also means you cant squishy save for example. To put it plain and simple the only things you can do are bangs (from the ground), pushing the ball or fiftying. And btw you are allowed to air roll for recoveries as that is NOT advanced mechanic we all needed to learn. We just needed to know how to use air roll.

What no mechanics SHOULD be is no air roll, no flip resets and no delayed flips (ceiling shots). Maybe throw no wave dashes in there for an extra level of difficulty.

Air roll is not a mechanic, it's in the control list. Would you consider jump, boost, powerslide, ball cam, drive and reverse mechanics? It's a default control, those are the bare minimum. If you stuck to just that, then it would be no mechs.

Once I finally broke through plat I can consistently reach and sustain diamond but getting past that, pshh forget about it. I was SO CLOSE once, literally 1 game away from champ but of course my teammate was afk. Then like the next 3 games after that, they were either playing for the other team or just trying to ff immediately. I only play solo queue, I know that's my problem but I'm tryna be like Leth so I'm sticking with it. 🤣😭 I'll know I've made it when I can reach SSL consistently solo queuing. If he can do it so can I... or at least that's what I tell myself. lol
