You got it all exactly right, from wigfrid's optimal behavior (pretty straight forward, but still) down to the lush season experience being more of an annoyance than challenging. I pretty much only play wigfrid, mainly because of easy helmets, but in this DLC football helmets literally come to you in base because of the bats and are more efficient to make than using up your gold. The one thing that could be added to the video is munching on small jerkies to regain sanity, easy 10 sanity each. Also, it's easy to think wigfrid needs to be fighting because of her traits, but she's just good at it, it's not very necessary to engage mobs constantly. I'm a housewife kind of player myself despite only playing wigfrid.

Awesome guide, she has some hard times in hamlet lush season and low gold sources, but to compensate she has a huge supply of meat and pig skin to use instead of her helmet.

I think another difficulty as Wigfrid would be the lack of gold for her weapon and armor...

Absolutely. I was blowing a ton of oincs on hold for her helmet. Weapon I just used halberds, but that helm is just too good.

You can use them just as emergency equipment in case something breaks and you don't have a spare one ready. Pretty early you can already use halberds instead of the spear, and a bit later on you'll have too much pig skin so you transition into football helmets from her regular one. All of the worries go away when you link worlds with shipwrecked, too.

Absolutely, and it's a good option. I'd probably duck out of Hamlet during that time if I played Wig again. The only tricky thing would be preparing for seasons in the linked worlds. Eventually, Lush season would fall on Dry season in SW and Summer in RoG, so I'd just make sure to take precautions if I were to travel that frequently.

Yeah,i dont agree with this, i have been playing with wigfrid a lot, died quite a few times, but then i reached the peak of my skill and changed my mentality to only surviving, and i had a heck of a lot of fun, lasted until day 319 and then reseted the world(i actually forgot you can change characters when you reset, so i decided to have a change of character), her early armor, dmg buff, and other perks are really good in hamlet, and i would actually recomend basing on the city, to check the tool shop for cloth, keep a peacock close to base and a fan inside my house, which i believe works better than outdoors. Now playing as wolfgang. im on day 439 and linked worlds with shipwrecked.

That's reasonable. And if your playstyle lends itself to a continued focus on pure survival then Wigfrid is totally playable in Hamlet and can certainly thrive. I would just dread those 11 days every year where I was constantly insane and sniffly. Like I said, her Lush experience can eventually become more of an annoyance than a threat, but the fact that it's such a frequent annoyance turns me off to the prospect of a long-term Hamlet world as her.

Wigfrid isn’t really good in hamlet She relies on meat (that’s fine) You need a lot of gold to make her helmet and spear (gold is kinda rare) She doesn’t do well in lush (a third of a year) so even though I main wigfrid, I don’t use her in hamlet

You pretty much never need to make her spear unless your weapon breaks because you didn't pay attention, and it's kinda the same thing with the helmet since football helmets are easy to make (you'll be drowning in pig skin after the beginning). Her only real downside is lush season, I usually do everything during the other two and save lush season for base planning/building so I can just stand by the fan, and for farming nightmare fuel. The biggest annoyance is her scream with every sneeze by far though. That alone might be worth picking a different character.

Neither of those are in “regular dont starve”. Shipwrecked and hamlet are dlc’s.

A Cactus okay that makes more sense. And wigfrid is a pretty bad character, I agree. Its just that at least she has some advantages. Wes is just utterly garbage. Im not replying to anyone who says wes is best. correction: I think wigfrid is decently good in Rog. But not in other dlc’s.
