Let me throw a counterargument here. You may correct me in this. 😊 I won't bring Gal.3:28 here because the context of Galatians is entirely different. Out of 40 authors, only one author SEEMS to go against the idea of women teaching men. No one else said it. So, the matter has to be handled very carefully because if you happen to be wrong in the sight of God, then it can really hamper the ministry a lot. While dealing with a controversial issue which I am not clear about, I question myself, "If this party is wrong, what can be the repercussions? And if the other party is wrong, what can be the possible repercussions?" I asked myself this question on the subject of salvation last year which made me to give a pause to the ministry of teaching for nearly 3 months. After that, I came out of the doctrine of 'Once saved always saved' with proper explanations on several verses that were quoted by me while I was a proponent of OSAS. So, even on this matter of women's ministry, we should be very careful not to miss it. I myself am yet to come to a conclusion. But, I have gathered different explanations on this matter. That's why, until I get a clear explanation from them that oppose the idea of women teaching men, I don't want to speak against it. Personally, I have no problem with learning from women. I know sisters that take the word of God seriously and there are times I have learnt from them as we discuss about the word. Let me continue. If we explain the qualifications for deacons in the same manner as it's written in 1Tim.3, then women shouldn't be deacons either. Paul said that a deacon should be a husband of one wife. Does it mean that those that are unmarried cannot be bishops and deacons? Phebe, a woman, was a deacon (the greek word is the same) according to Rom.15. So, the phrase, 'husband of one wife,' is not sufficient enough to defend the idea that women can't be the teachers of men. Both Priscilla and Aquilla taught Apollos about the way of the Lord (Acts 18). 1Tim.2:15 says that she will be saved in childbearing... That shows that the kind of women Paul was speaking about were wives unless the childbearing has to do with Eve specifically. Only wives were supposed to bear children. The virgins were not expected to bear children. So, shall we say that the virgins are free to teach as the context is about wives? 😀 In 1Cor.7, the Greek word that is translated as women is also translated as wives in the same chapter. If 1Tim.2:12 is about church and not home, then 1Tim.2:15 (the matter of childbearing) should also be about church. But, I doubt. Paul said, "I don't permit a woman (wife) to teach or to usurp authorities over a man (husband). For Adam was made first and then, Eve." They were husbands and wives. It's about woman not exercising authority over her husband. The word, 'teach,' here has to do with exercising authority. Think about this. Are only the women deceived in the church? Are men not equally deceived too? Who are propagating false teachings in the churches all over the world? Are they women or men? Eve was deceived because she didn't submit to her husband, but instead she listened to the devil. Right from 1Tim.2:1, we see words that are not exclusive to the church offices only. But, Paul said all these things for the church because our family life is connected to the church. Our conducts at home ought to be a good example before the church.

So plz understand This is not an issue of chauvinism or discrimination. It is an issue of biblical interpretation. The Word of God proclaims, “A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent” (1 Timothy 2:11-12). In the church, God assigns different roles to men and women. This is a result of the way mankind was created and the way in which sin entered the world (1 Timothy 2:13-14). (Nothing can be further from the truth) God, through the apostle Paul, restricts women from serving in roles of teaching and/or having spiritual authority over men. This precludes women from serving as pastors over men, which definitely includes preaching to them, teaching them publicly, and exercising spiritual authority over them. As objected that Paul is only referring to husbands and wives, not men and women in general. The Greek words for “woman” and “man” in 1 Timothy 2 could refer to husbands and wives; however, the basic meaning of the words is broader than that. Further, the same Greek words are used in verses 8-10. Are only husbands to lift up holy hands in prayer without anger and disputing (verse 8)? Are only wives to dress modestly, have good deeds, and worship God (verses 9-10)? Of course not. Verses 8-10 clearly refer to all men and women, not just husbands and wives. There is nothing in the context that would indicate a narrowing to husbands and wives in verses 11-14. Similar arguments are made using Priscilla and Phoebe in the New Testament. In Acts 18, Priscilla and Aquila are presented as faithful ministers for Christ. Priscilla’s name is mentioned first, perhaps indicating that she was more prominent in ministry than her husband. Did Priscilla and her husband teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to Apollos? Yes, in their home they “explained to him the way of God more adequately” (Acts 18:26). Does the Bible ever say that Priscilla pastored a church or taught publicly or became the spiritual leader of a congregation of saints? No. As far as we know, Priscilla was not involved in ministry activity in contradiction to 1 Timothy 2:11-14. In Romans 16:1, Phoebe is called a “deacon” (or “servant”) in the church and is highly commended by Paul. But, as with Priscilla, there is nothing in Scripture to indicate that Phoebe was a pastor or a teacher of men in the church. “Able to teach” is given as a qualification for elders, but not for deacons (1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:6-9). The structure of 1 Timothy 2:11-14 makes the reason why women cannot be pastors perfectly clear. Verse 13 begins with “for,” giving the “cause” of Paul’s statement in verses 11-12. Why should women not teach or have authority over men? Because “Adam was created first, then Eve. And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived” (verses 13-14). God created Adam first and then created Eve to be a “helper” for Adam. The order of creation has universal application in the family (Ephesians 5:22-33) and in the church. Many women excel in gifts of hospitality, mercy, teaching, evangelism, and helping/serving. Much of the ministry of the local church depends on women. Women in the church are not restricted from public praying or prophesying (1 Corinthians 11:5), only from having spiritual teaching authority over men. The Bible nowhere restricts women from exercising the gifts of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 12). Women, just as much as men, are called to minister to others, to demonstrate the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), and to proclaim the gospel to the lost (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 1:8; 1 Peter 3:15).

(Rom.16:7) If 1Tim.2:11-12 is about women in general (which I am yet to be sure of), then can Paul be speaking only against women teaching as bishops? Authority is usurped by an overseer or a bishop. Can't she teach men without being in the position of authority? Can't she be permitted to teach by remaining in submission to the authorities in the church? What is the clear explanation of 1Tim.2:15? It cannot be a strange verse that has nothing to do with the previous verses. 1Tim.2:15 verse should align with 1Tim.2:11-14.

God ruled Israel through the Judges. A Judge was the most important spiritual leader of that time period according to scripture. When a Judge died the people went back to their sinful ways. To say a woman can be a Judge over Israel, but a woman can't be an elder in a small church, just doesn't make any sense scripturally.
