Can XPEL Ceramic Tint battle EXTREME Temperature? (XR Plus)

We're putting XPEL's tint to the test by shining a 350 degree Fahrenheit heat lamp at a chocolate bunny. The only thing standing between them is a small glass with different types of window tint on them. One glass is XPEL Ceramic tint, the other is Cs Black 5%. Ceramic tint or "XR PLUS" does a fantastic job when it comes to heat rejection. This video features XPEL PRIME XR PLUS ceramic window tint that block 99% of UV rays and 98% of infrared heat.

Wow, the employees had no idea if their products worked, especially that girl, really! But overall an interesting test that really showed the quality of Expel ceramic.

Wouldn’t it have been a better test to have the bunny on the inside and heat lamp on the outside?

The bunny in the last test was twice as far away from the glass as the first test. When you do an experiment it's good practice to control as many variables as possible. Unless you are tying to sell s product.

What no one mentions is that the Xpel XR Plus 70 is twice as thick as the darker shades, so it’s blurrier. Other than that, I have Xpel XR Plus on my Forester all around and the heat rejection lives up to the hype.

Have it but not that brand I have sunshield brand. Not sure how well that compares to the xpel.. but even tho this car I have isn't crazy to look at. It's very very reliable. It's a Hyundai Elantra se 2016 in red. And I well go for the xpel. Guessing it's more pricy compared to the tint I got installed which is still solid. I payed 175 for windshield. And believe a bit less on the rest of the windows. How much would xpel be? For normal windows or 5 windows 4 doors and the rear? For a car.

@@chinito20fam I just got a quote for 3m Ceramic film from a shop near me to do a Tesla Model 3. They quoted me a price of $840 to do the all the windows, including the ones on the roof. Typically, for high-end ceramic tint, you can expect to pay $700+ to do a smaller car and well above that for a larger SUV or pickup truck. Keep in mind, even though the prices are high, you are most of the time getting lifetime warranties and protection for the interior of your vehicle. Paying a premium for good quality tints is definitely a worthwhile investment for your vehicle.

I think where people might get confused.. if you go with XR PLUS.. people think the heat is still coming through no matter what. Yes! It’s not going to stop the car from getting hot on the inside.. but what you have to understand once the car is hot it’s hot.. It helps keep the car cool. If you are running your AC on a hot day and driving down the interstate vs leaving your car in the mall parking lot. It’s two vary different situations. Once that heat has passed it will stay hot until you cool it down

So, in conclusion: If you park at the mall in the sun and are gone for more than 10 minutes, your bunny is going to be roasted regardless of the film you apply.

No No, clearly you didn't watch the video all the way. The bunny will last longer cause if you live anywhere that even gets higher than 120 let alone 375 or whatever that heat lamp gives. It's time to move

You're missing the point of the product. This is designed to provide benefits during the use of the vehicle. Just because it has advanced ceramic window film does not mean it's a miracle solution for your windows. Even cargo vans with NO windows will get extremely hot in the sun. It's common knowledge and basic physics.

Jesus Christ my friend, equalize the audio. Music is super loud and dialogue is too low. If I turn up the audio to listen to the dialogue, I am blasted with super loud music shortly after.

Why test with the heat source in the car and the bunny outside? Unless I heard you wrong, this test was flawed from the start.

Hey Zohn, we decided to use the XPEL Tint display for this experiment, and either way, the tint was between the heat source and the bunny which is all that mattered to begin with :)

I have heard the stories of Tesla roofs cracking, but from those same stories, I hear it is because of poor installation or tint that is too dark. I don't think it matters which brand it is. This is why I went with 70% for the roof portion of my Model 3 and the windshield, then put 35% on everything else.
