yeah, there were some surprising characters with under 1% pick rate. Yenfai, Rosaria, Kaeya, Candace, and especially sucrose. i personally just used Yanfei to clear the most recent abyss.

This really shows the skillful aspect of the game. I struggled at the first chamber for this abyss using some pretty meta characters and signature weapons. I know I don't optimize my runs or even do correct rotations most of the time so my clear times can be absolutely abysmal, seeing how correct rotations, using techs, controlling positioning and having good builds matters lets you appreciate this game's simple yet in depth combat system that much more. Unfortunate how most of it is glossed over due to simply having larger numbers. Which is why I like when bosses with mechanics that restrict the player are added. Stuff like elemental shields or mid fight objectives can really spice up your gameplay and encourage you to build many different teams. With the addition of theatre the game is becoming more fleshed out combat wise than I could ever have imagined.

Honestly, I love Redhorn and it really is her best weapon, and together with C6 it also unlocks the possibility to go DEF% build and do solid damage with Charged Attacks. Even then, if you have Skyward Pride, I highly recommend using it. It's her best weapon outside of Redhorn.

@@nonamepasserbya6658 I can already 36 star the abyss on my account, so that's not really a concern I have. I'm just building the characters I like, the way I want to build them. I happen to like Freminet, Xinyan, Kaveh and Ningguang, just because I like them, so they're characters I'm interested in building stronger still. Shatterbloom Kaveh is fun, esp now that the damage multipliers have been increased, Freminet is actually a very strong character and I have him c6 after losing my 50/50 for Arle. Xinyan can be used for vaporize, mono pyro, and physical teams. Ningguang does well with multiple teams, and a team core with her and Xilonen is one I particularly like. I play this game to have fun, not to clear the abyss in the fastest amount of time possible. I also enjoy the Theatre much more than the abyss, so having multiple varied teams is something that appeals to me, regardless of how long it may take to build them.

The thing about that usage chart is it's a % based on people who own the character, so characters who are given to everyone like Collei or Kayea will naturally score lower As an example, if Furina gets, say 70% usage rate, that doesn't mean that 70% of people use Furina, but that 70% of the people who own furina use her

so about Bunny Bomber. while Diona is considered a very integral choice for the comp. but chongyun is very much considered a good replacement option. he won't give as much damage support diona. but his sub dps, the cd reduction. amber can make chongyun melt all his burst with her own. apparently a possible niche with the wolfs gravestone atk buff is also there furu has actually done abyss runs with that comp.

I haven't done the numbers myself that being said. but I've seen it manageable. way harder but manageable. the reason for chongyun is mostly f2p reasons. most of us don't have c6 diona and don't want one (me included). and diona without c6 only has elegy as her significant advantage. which is a bow a lot of people don't have (me included LMAO). when you consider pure f2p. chongyun tends to give a bit more to amber through burst synergy and cd reduction. chongyun also makes it pretty easy to double swirl cryo pyro compared to rosaria and Diona. as he has an easier time giving cryo to the baron bunny through his skill compared to others(which helps if you need to recharge burst). so when you swirl a pyro target and baron bunny has a cryo aura. that target gets res shred on both. I have noticed that cryo DMG bonus in kazuhas case is harder but very much possible. I've even found a comp that tries to maximize their burst synergies. tho it uses benett and kazuha.

Im really surprised that sucrose is under 1% usage rate, she can be nearly as strong as kazuha, of course hes stronger than her, im a proud kazuha c3 haver, hes broken, but i still use sucrose sometimes, she is c6 on my account and she is really good, even if i have kazuha c3 and xilonen c4 r1, i still use her, idk why people dont use her much often, she is a really great option on a lot of team comps. The thing that surprises me the most is that you dont even have most of the 4 star characters you used here c6´d, you are just better. You are absolutely cracked, im surpised you dont have even more suscribers. Fire content!!!

I first discovered this channel through the video where you beat abyss with the four available traveler variants at the time, and it blew me away. But you've outdone yourself yet again! The strategies, the struggle, and the eventual triumph in this video is peak cinema. My respect for you is massive because you are one of the few players who truly plays this silly little game to its fullest and achieves insane feats of skill and perseverance doing it. Barbara is one of my favorite characters as she carried me through the early game until like AR50 where i started to get limited 5* characters, so it makes me really happy to see her utilized. The damage/clear time of your fridge comp is still pretty insane considering that this is after miHoYo nerfed her dendro core generation from what it used to be. Your channel and furu's spiral-out-of-meta series are the abyss runs I always look forward to the most. Keep being amazing and advance happy holidays!

This encouraged me to just spam her NA string instead of using her CA as a result. If I couldn't group enemies close enough like the vishaps, I used her CA.

This was in my "up next" after watching Eakes' 10% run, absolutely insane! After this I binged your Traveler 36* series and I have to agree with what someone already said in the comments of this video: Traveler mains are scary. You absolutely deserve more subs, with how well you explain everything in each video etc. without dragging on for too long or just rambling. [TANGENT WARNING] I myself am 1340h in and I've never 36 starred the abyss, hell, I've only cleared floor 12 once (the abyss before the previous one), where I got 3+2+1 because getting 3* on chamber 1 burned me out. I know it's not the account, I'm just skill issuing way too hard. I'm currently stuck in chamber 3 with 6 stars in the bag, I refuse to change the teams or take 2 stars because I know I can do it if I just keep trying, my bursts are up and I consistently enter 2nd half with 2+ minutes to go. I just have to stop dying, the one time I didn't die to the Hydro Tulpa I barely missed the 7min mark because I messed up 1 rotation, so I just retried instead of completing the floor. I'm determined to get 36 stars without starting the floor over or changing the team, wish me luck.

Couldn't start again from Chamber 3 so I just gave up and switched the team. All in all I finally got my first pseudo-36* Abyss clear ~1345h into playing Genshin. Massive skill issues in play... I did however read your reply before I went back to trying so thank you for that!

Not sure if this is a possible challenge for you, but me and my friend were talking about the differences of playing Genshin on computer vs the app for spiral abyss, since they are a computer player and I play on iPad. Since playing on the app doesn’t have key binds, and everything you do is tapped on by your finger, I’d love to see if there would be any challenges for you. Switching characters is a big thing for me, since I cant click a number but I have to click on the character themself on the side of the screen and they switch order visually a bit so sometimes I get messed up. It may need to go along with another challenge though, cause your characters are strong enough that small time issues like switching to the wrong character might not be enough… I just think it’s an interesting theory!

Pretty sure a team of Dori + Dendro Traveler + Collei + Barbara/Candace couldve done it. Its pretty close to one of the teams I cleared the Abyss with. I was using Dori as the driver since I have her c6 but you'd be using Barbara/Candace in this case since you have no good off-field Hydro. Pretty sure Candace would be best here but she'd obviously need a lot more ER than Barbara.

AMAZING work TarZ! I keep up with a number of off-meta Abyss runners, and it was really neat to see that a number of the ideas you came up with for potential teams are similar to theirs :D I'm of the opinion that pure Bloom teams are somewhat underrated. Dendro Core ownership is an issue with them, but they also have an advantage which I don't see talked about a lot, which is that there can be multiple Bloom triggers, whereas Hyperbloom and Burgeon only have one, and the limit on how frequently enemies can take damage from a reaction isn't shared between teammates. Since you didn't end up using Sucrose, I'm wondering if she could be a good choice in these teams. She wants to build high EM and can trigger Bloom with Swirl or elemental absorption, and can buff the EM of the whole team. I know that TurtleCamera, who does starter character only runs, used the same team for 12-1-2, so I'm curious if you studied his clears at all. Super impressive either way! Once again, this is insanely impressive! The work you put into optimizing really showed 👏👏👏 Also FELT music noticed RAAAAAAAHHHH

Thanks! I honestly really wanted to use Sucrose, but the comp I wanted her to be slotted in for (specifically Sethos with extra mags from EMC) wasn't possible for my account. She can be good for bloom teams to some extent, but swirling hydro to gain ownership can be a bit challenging, though perhaps that is my skill issue talking. It is possible to get her ult to absorb hydro easily with Barbara's skill from my testing, but my EM pieces largely don't have enough ER to get her to reliably cast her ult. There was definitely a lot I could have explained with regards to team comps, but this video might have been nearly one and a half hours if I did so. I did briefly see TurtleCamera's run, but I honestly wanted to try and figure it out for myself, largely because I do enjoy the puzzle solving aspect of abyss runs to make things work out. Not sure if my clear strategy ended up being similar or not, I should go take a look. EDIT: After taking a more indepth look, my clear was fairly similar to TurtleCamera's. I will say that I did get lucky in figuring out you can hit Barbara's NAs on both of the primuses (meatballs) at the same time. It's really hard to get consistent positioning with them to do this though. I must say, TurtleCamera is significantly better than me at using Barbara's CAs, they were a bit finicky for me at times, especially when the attack wouldn't trigger despite me holding my mouse button. The geo guards definitely needed the extra duration from Kaeya's ult to be perma-frozen for sure, that was definitely not possible otherwise.

@@TarZBlammo Yeah, I haven't looked super deeply at how Swirling should work in that team, and you're right that it can be tricky to do, specifically because Hydro and Dendro can't coexist so you'd need to have multiple enemies and Swirl Hydro from one enemy onto another enemy affected by Dendro. It is good to know that you can absorb Hydro easily, and even just the EM buff should be helpful. Super impressive that you managed to figure out how to play the Bloom team even without studying how other people used it! And yeah you definitely do want Freeze when playing this team or else your Dendro Cores just get Burgeoned away

I can't even beat the last floor. Videos like this make me realize that I'm actually pretty bad at the game lmao. The first time I got all stars (up until the final floor), I had Beidou and Kaeya (my main) on one team, with an unbuilt Sucrose on the other.

Seeing these usage rates was shocking. Most of these are absolutely solid and I routinely use a lot of them in abyss. Yanfei/Diluc- C6 Candace-Sucrose-TTDS Barbara is an easy sub minute clear. Razor+ Mika and Lisa + Collei are really strong cores. Rosaria and Kaeya are also really good, I feel like I'd have no problem 36 starring most abysses with this roster.

Kaveh couldve been a good shout; one benefit they have over DMC is that he also causes shatter, which scales off the same big EM stat you want for his bloom driver build. It isnt a terribly big buff in damage, but a bonus 10-15k per attack per enemy hit (assuming good freeze rate, might demand more hydro application as a result too) is pretty pog I think. definately gonna try that after the *very minor* shatter buff. genuinely wtf man just make shatter good its so restrictive. Heizou mightve been good, as would a yanfei dps, maybe a dendro razor? not sure how current year phys razor, ive also seen some pretty fun C6 lynette anemo dps builds, but im not sure what those builds entail support-wise.
