► I had a crazy idea, to attempt to complete Genshin Impact's abyss with 36 stars, from a brand new account in just 3 weeks. So the 36 Stars 3 Weeks Challenge was born. The rules we're simple, completely Free to play, no account rerolling for early luck, no co-op with my viewers and ohh yeah, I had to live stream the entire thing. This has been the biggest project I have ever done on KZbin or Twitch. I dedicated 3 entire weeks of my life day and day out, dusk till dawn, eating breathing and sleeping Genshin Impact to prove one thing, I am a god gamer. This challenge was done during 4.4 on the exact 3 weeks that the Xiao Yae Miko banners were live, which were notoriously weak banners. No Neuvillette, no Nahida, no Kazuha. All good bro. We will still enjoy it regardless. I been waiting for this to drop on KZbin for like 2-3 weeks or whatever now since you completed it. There's no real rush to release this since it's doesn't need to be timed with any genshin content updates or anything. Just wanna say this is one of your best videos/ideas/challengers ever for genshin. It's just great content. Both live stream or as a recap video. Just a great idea and great entertainment! I hope you get a million views from this by the end since you deserve it. I also have no idea why your sub count is so low relative to most other genshin creators when you have a great funny, chill and likable personality and most of the others are very monotone with their speaking and/or have a boring personality, or are just not very likable or can even be consider as annoying at worst. Yet they still have hundreds of thousands of subs. Did you start the channel later than all the others? If not then I'm guessing it's because you just don't drop enough videos as often as they do or drop them fast enough like the others, or on a regular schedule. Speed/timing matters a lot for genshin I guess, like videos on same or next day that matches game updates. Mihiyo themselves do this shit with the regular endless content, even if it's not groundbreaking unique event. Just dropping new content alone means people will stay interested and keep coming back due to habit lol. But yeah, you make pretty good quality videos that are entertaining, so keep doing you, ni need to drop the quality level of videos in order to just pad the numbers and be a regular uploader. I think you will get there even if slow and steady, or maybe you will have a viral vid(like this one?) and you'll get lucky just like you did in this challenge with the gacha luck coming in late for your character pulls. Your kuki will come soon. Probably.. hopefully.. But even if it doesn't, you will no doubt still be able to 36 star the abyss in your own way with your own unique custom strategy. haha I hope you can do more challenges and videos like this! It's great content!

There are no bad hydro units. Even the least useful ones are still way better than not having hydro at all. Barbara is probably the second 'worst' hydro unit (Candace is worse than Barbara by a bit) but she still can do the primary job, apply consistent hydro.

@@Mohamadyusf1 Barbara is actually a really good driver in a Nilou Bloom team. Sac.Fragments (refinements don't matter), HP-stacking Flower set, watch everything touch grass and explode. The best part is that it's still super effective even if you're F2P as the only character you'll need to go out of your way for is Nilou (maximizing her Bloom damage contribution is another story). A team of Barbara, Collei, DMC, and Nilou is perfectly fine if you want to teach all of Teyvat the gospel of natural flora. :)

@@viviolet7 Not only this, but said pro would teach you about the swim tech. (Swim tech is a way to exploit the stamina logic when swimming. If you hold the run button while slowly tapping movement button instead of holding the movement button, will cause you to swim faster while using less stamina than usual)

It is indeed, and yet despite the clever and very thoughtful strategy, it showed the limits of the game. After geetting the easy lion's share of rewards, the diminishing returns make the game crawl to a halt. And without the big meta characters, the abyss grind becomes unreal. absolutely insane challenge, most people haven't 36* abyss after 3 months, even being able to Clear floor 12 is huge, and on top of it all he got extremely unlucky with the gacha on one of the worst banners and most annoying abyss bosses. This challenge was still a spectacle to watch even though I had my doubts going in,I knew it was definitely impossible to fully build 2 cracked teams to 36star the abyss in 3weeks there’s not just enough resin to get satisfactory builds unless you’re the RNG god when rolling artifacts but this is still an amazing try considering all the restrictions you put on yourself

It's not, but it is extremely hard, and even more extremely difficult with the additional restrictions he gave himself. The record is like 4 days and something hours - but that uses account rerolls and multiple people sharing the account in shifts so that you're still making progress even while you're sleeping, it's not one streamer trying to do it. Plus, the account rerolls giving you a headstart on good characters also doubles to increase available resin per day since you can use all your primos on max refreshing instead of wishing.

Eakes at 21 days: completes 12-3, reaches 31 stars, and AR50. $0 spent. Me (a 235 days player, with 33 stars) : took 225 days to reach 30 stars, and still at AR45. Plays many many hours a day, even during class when there is break or lunch time. $~600 spent.

Because of my playing situation, hyperbloom actually is too fast for me, even though I’m a 19 year old player with long and flexible fingers. The consistency is too much for me to hold on for long. I don’t have enough stamina and and hyperbloom proc on the wrong enemy too often.

I've been playing for 7 months. I got a C2 Raiden on PJWS. I got Nahida. I got Tighnari on Skyward Harp. I got Bennett, Chevreuse, Xingque, C6 Sara, Fischl, Sucrose. I had 6 months of Welkin. And I played for 400 hours. I still haven't even cleared floor 12, let alone 36-starred it. The best I've gotten has been 29 stars. What you did Eakes was super impressive, and I'm glad I followed you during this challenge. Was eagerly waiting for this video. Hats off.

7 months isn't that long in the grand scheme of the game, so 29 stars isn't bad at all for most players. The past several Abyss's have been really annoying, so if we get an easier one, I bet you could 36-star it Easy. Make sure to use Raiden with C6 Sara, Bennett, and Chevreuse if you can. That's a very solid overload team. Chevreuse becomes better than Kazuha in that team. She is also extremely easy to build. ALL HP. But only that type of team. Plus C2 on Raiden is incredible.

@SkuldsArchives yeah that's my first and main team, and I get good clears with them (though they don't work on those electro spectres on the current chamber 2 of floor 12). It's my second team that struggles. Tighnari, Nahida, and Fischl seem to make a strong core, but Fischl's electro application isn't enough, and that team has no sustain, it just lacks a proper 4th member. Right now it's Sucrose on prototype Amber, but she can't swirl anything. I've theorycrafted to add in Thoma to double as a shield bot and give Nahida Pyro burst bonus, but I'm still working on building him, and I've never seen anyone actually use this as a comp. Ideally I could have used Yae which I really regret not pulling on to use instead of Fischl, or add in a Zhongli or Kuki for sustain. The entire second team will probably be benched for Arlecchino.

@@cshahbazi1220 If you have Kuki, she's arguably the best electro character for Hyperbloom teams. Her alongside Raiden. Kuki is extremely valuable. I'd go with Tighnari, Nahida, Xingqiu/Barbara (if you don't have Xingqiu, or Yelan if you have her.. idk what Hydro characters you have, even Mona could work though), and then Kuki.

@@cshahbazi1220 try switching sara for xiangling for more mixed damage fischl in second team cant really abuse her A4 passive since spread is not an electro reaction. most of fischl's dmg comes from abusing her A4 you could try a 'salad' team of sucrose, xingqiu, nahida, fischl. using sucrose as a driver and swirling electro means 3 things. 1. you trigger hyperblooms 2. VV triggers to shred electro (and hydro) 3 fischl's A4 triggers . you can put prototype amber on nahida and have sucrose run an EM book

Really impressive feat getting 31 stars in 3 weeks. That took me nearly 6 months when I started, granted that was before dendro. Additionally, the pain of having to deal with the ruin serpent and wenut chambers hundreds of times like that would have shaved 10 years off my life. If you kept going you'd have those 36* really soon I believe. Feeding the Amos Bow into a TTDS nearly made me sick to my stomach. I went my whole first year of playing dreaming of replacing my proto crescent with Amos for my Ganyu lol. I have it today but still lol. Again thanks for sharing your experience with this challenge, you're the GOAT!

Given the constraints (and the terrible 4 stars on the limited banner) this was a very impressive run, well played Eakes, it was a blast to keep up with your progress. I can't help but wonder why you didn't swap Yae and Fischl though, Yae absolutely slaps the serpents! Not sure if it would have made enough of a difference to shore up the missing time, but would have been worth a shot imo. Either way congrats man, this was a cool challenge.

@@regrat5891 No, you can down the drake with Yae turrets. Right at the start if you place one on each side it drops it instantly.

@@fzhs7030 That overload team doesn't work at all. Triple electro means you're never going to keep the Chevy buff up. Even though Diluc isn't the greatest you need a consistent pyro source for that team to work.

Alr I can't believe how truly amazed I am the efforts the knowledge about the game s so good n u can clearly see it in ar50! I've been playing for a year never did it seriously but i gets hard for me after floor 10! And I can't imagine the dedication that went into this whole thing! This man deserve so much more attention n popularity! I learned alot about the game n how things work in this one single video thn I've in the whole time playing the game!
