As a 24-year-old female living in Africa with a degree in HR, and wanting to break into IT, would you recommend that I do both my A+ and N+ to increase my chances of getting employment, or should I just stick to getting an A+ cert then start applying for entry-level IT positions? Hi - I got my A+ three weeks ago and I’ve had 3 different interviews. I haven’t landed on a job yet but all 3 of these companies I’ve talked to all hire off just the A+ So the answer to this video is Yes

In school working on my CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, and CySA+ certs.. New to the IT field, but from what I have read and seen, these are entry level training programs. I have talked to numerous IT pros I know, and their consensus has been, “Get your foot in the door, with these certs. Gain that valuable experience.” Even the instructors will tell you, don’t worry about the higher level certifications. Those opportunities will come. You’ll never het there without EXPERIENCE. Pay your dues, the money will come. There is really no shortcut…

CompTIA A+ is good for 3 years from the time someone passes the exam. ITF+ does not require recertification.

It's also a simpler course than A+. It focuses on basic terminology & computer functions. If you know absolutely nothing about computers, you may consider going through it before the A+.

Itf is for complete beginners and bureau work oriented, while a+ is more advanced, in depth, and more technical support oriented
