It's really difficult to choose security & love. As someone who grew up in deep poverty, no one should know what hunger is. But then again, you can't force love. You can have all the love in the world for that person but that's different from actually being in love. Also, polyamory isn't for everyone. It's takes so much time & effort. It isn't just sex all the time. There needs to be more communication involved. If you see polyamory as an ongoing sex dream, your dehumanizing your partners. You're not seeing them as people.

I had to pick between two people before. The best thing to pick the one you vibe the most with and more physically attracted to. Wealth doesn't matter that much since they can become successful later or get a better job. I have some problems with some statements in this comment section. im sure that most ppl love more than one person. You might love your parents, grandparents, your friends, your partners and yourself. i know i love my dog and cat. Now these types of love may be different, it may be parental love, self-love or any other kind, but its still love. i dont understand why we need to quantify love. "i have 10 "love points" and i already gave out 9, so im sorry i cant love you" just seems weird to me. sure your energy might only last so many tasks, but your love is not bound by your energy. now im not saying that you should enter a relationship where you wont be an active participant. im saying that love -to me- is non quantifiable and the need to quantify love is reductive.

About loving multiple people: read up on polyamory. It's definitely not for everyone, it takes a lot of communication, honesty, energy. But if you have more love to give and can handle multiple relationships (and can handle your multiple partners having multiple partners), it's definitely worth it.
