Mainly because it's only half true. The first Ascension passive requires it (the one that activates from overloaded reactions) but the second one (which increases electro and Pyro damage) doesn't. It works in any team. Granted without full electro-Pyro team you lose a lot of value but you still gain the damage bonus.

If you haven't already you should do a 1 character challenge where every time you wish (and get a new character) you have to replace the current one and use the new one. I think that's a bit too complicated though

As a pokefan, I can say there was 2 things similar to most nuzlokes. 1. He got Raiden = getting Gyarados. Gyarados is really op in most of the games, and you are either almost guaranteed to get him, or it is a 50/50 if you don't use species clause. Which is almost what happened with Raiden, though you did had only 1 chance instead of multiple in some games. 2. Losing Sucrose to gravity = losing a great mon to random self-destructing Graveler or Destiny Bond/Counter/Mirror Coat Wobuffet. Self Destruct is a pretty strong move and can lead to some oneshots. While Destiny Bond allows the mon who used it, if he was faster, take life of your mon after it died this turn, while Counter or Mirror Coat reflects your damage to your mon, Counter for physical moves, Mirror Coat for special. And Wobuffet will almost always use only these moves, cuz those moves are all it has. Though Wobuffet is not common.... Like at all. But in randomizer nuzlokes, you shall never underestimate them. Or else you might lose accidentally the one you love most. Just like what happened here. Unexpected gravity was kinda like looking away for a sec and not seeing Wobuffet.

I came to conclusion the best characters to get early game are Sucrose, Heizo or Faruzan - basically, any no-down-time anemo user. Sucrose and Faruzan really want their C1 to function properly, but they both have great crowd control abilities and will be useful in late game as well. Heizo on the other hand will be really OP at the beginning, but since he is more DPS than support, he will be upstaged eventually.

Yep, actually my go-to-Dvalin team is Amber, Xiangling, Lisa and Kuki. Amber helps to break his shield faster, and then these 6-star characters will one-cycle the dragon no problem.

you can use shild characters, unless you decide to play hardcore nuzlock rules,but then you wouldn't be able to use healing itens. since only hardcore nuzlock (sometimes) banned op things (mostly set up moves like bulk up or calm mind)

Kirara -> Sheild, not your favourite AND an inazuman characters. Inazuman characters are the worst to get early game, as you cant use them for the hard content till you unlock inazuma. Not to mention, if that character or a character that uses the same mats is not on banner aka trials, then you cant even level them up past 20. And for a nuzlocke challenge like this, you dont wanna face childe with a level 20 character lmao.
