Can You Beat a Queen Mirelurk at Level 1? (Fallout 4)

Today we try a unique challenge in Fallout 4 that will force us to think outside the box. Can you beat a Queen Mirelurk at level 1? It sounds impossible, but we may yet have some tricks up our sleeves...

I've killed Swan at level one with Big Jim so I'm not surprised to see that was also your weapon of choice. I cheated a bit by using chems to do more damage so I didn't have to keep swinging until my arm fell off. Very nice job on the editing. Much better job than I'm capable of.

@@phobiahavoc I've played the game since right after launch and I always overlooked Big Jim. Only after watching IceStella's stream last year did I realize how powerful it could be. I respect it a lot more now and even used it as my secondary weapon in the playthrough I just finished a few days ago. More people should give it the love it deserves.

Endurance is a decent SPECIAL for this challenge but shouldn’t be at 10. Agility and Luck would be preferable to be higher due to VATS and Criticals. Shoot in vats using an AP cost effective weapon (10mm is probably the best available), throw grenades/Molotovs at the Queen until AP is up, use a Critical with a high damage weapon. You could do the same without VATS just use high damage per second/shot weapon and grenades.

Yes obviously. You just need a fat man and a couple mini nukes. Which aren't too hard to come by in fo4 (oh that was you first plan) so uhh... Mini nukes, bottlecap mines and psycho would probably be the easiest way. 25 percent more damage with mini nukes and bottlecap mines is a big deal.

@@EZEfallout After watching the vid I'm not surprised by the weapon choice. The queen at Spec is also pretty easy. After flipping the switch I was able to pipe pistol and 10mm her to death after using a bajillion rounds of ammo. I do agree that the video was well made with good editing and also pretty entertaining. I'm glad I clicked on it.

bro my bullets could only scratch the back of a legendary softshell mirelurk level 1 or 2. do you play on super easy or some shit?

swan is so big that he can get stuck, get him stuck and keep exiting/going back in cover while crouched as you shoot/reload. I came across him by mistake today at level 5 on hard and took him down like that using molotovs and that brotherhood of steel laser rifle@@qovro

I melee killed Swan at level one a year or so back and later did the same to a queen.
