I think that ddg being removed when using chutes is because the game makes you invulnerable when you use them and removes it when you land on the other side. You even used the mechanic to blow up a bomb at one point, it probably works that way so they can have sligs shoot at you as you fall. I imagine if there is a way to interrupt the chute animation that would probably also leave you invulnerable.
@KopperNeoman5 ай бұрын
It's the same reason you can't grab ledges from a forward jump while DDGing and also why all but the smallest falls kill you (unless from an straight up jump, which makes you outright immune to all fall kills - not bottomless pits) The game's put Abe in the state that he's in when he gets shot mid-jump, where he technically only dies when he hits the ground, and his ledge grab is disabled to facilitate that.
@l1ndblum5 ай бұрын
The DDG glitch being removed is to do with Abe's sprite being regenerated after coming out the well. The glitch is caused by a sprite corruption glitch that makes Abe invincible - but I have no idea why you can't hang from things when coming from above or the same level - but the game is very janky at the best of times!

Nice job. I'll try this myself too. I recently did an “indigenous” run, or so I called it: I killed every slig I could, destroyed as much Glukkon technology as I could, and avoided killing as many animals as possible. It made a lot of sections a lot more interesting considering these stipulations. I also did it for Exodus, but the “not killing animals” part was a lot harder to be successful in when the game throws you gauntlets where you MUST endlessly murder slogs. Still, I avoided stepping on the little black bugs and running fleeches to meat grinders and lightning 😂 Would love to see you try another challenge for Exoddus if you're down to play it.
