It's absolutely magical how in this game no matter how seemingly impassable of a blockade certain sections are if you skip getting important items, there's ALWAYS some frame perfect difficult glitch that just BARELY works to allow you to pass everything based seemingly on luck from dev choices. Like the Gerudo bridge, if they had placed it even a few pixels further away that trick wouldn't work. Or how the Shadow Temple is laid out making skipping the boat possible. At nearly every blockade I was like "okay that has to be the end, there's no way past that" but with some side hopping and flips everything is made possible. Incredible.

I think the funniest part about Adult Link in Child Link cutscenes is when he sort of... sits on the ground with his legs folded upright, while pretending he's standing. It's already funny enough that the game can't decide what height he should be off the ground, but then on top of that, instead of him just clipping through the ground like you'd expect, it insists his feet must be _right on_ the ground no matter what! And even though they seemingly never designed him to be in that weird posture, the engine is somehow able to do it anyway.

For anyone wondering about the "much harder" way to escape Kokiri Forest without any items mentioned in the vid - it's achieved by throwing a rock at a guard from an _extremely precise_ place. And by _extremely precise_ I mean _1/1000th of a unit precision_ in positioning - so, TAS-only iirc.

I usually unlock it at the fountain that gives you Din's Fire, since you can get it right after getting the song, but I imagine that Farore's Wind and Nayru's Love would also unlock it. Only nitpick I have is that I think it would flow better if you described glitches as existing things which you're explaining the steps of, as opposed to describing the steps as a series of things that happened. "To get over we need to do X glitch, so first we get into the position that allows us to reach this platform" sounds a lot more natural to me than "I ran over into the position I wanted, then grabbed the ledge". I think it would also help split things up because "we're going to do a cool glitch" is kind of like saying "pay attention here".

I remember clearing the water temple before the fire temple on the original n64 cause I thought it would be fun. Turns out every time Navi had something to say it crashed my game.

Hearing that Pokémon Stadium helps make a glitch in Ocarina of Time work was not something I expected to hear today

And Ocarina of Time pays it forward for Paper Mario.

Sir, i appreciated the entire experience of this video and the journey you went on. However.. i must admit, the epona glitch broke my brain and I side hopped off of my bed, let go of Z, backflipped and gave myself a concussion when I landed on my dresser.

The amount of trial of error you must have done performing these glitches would have taken me multiple lifetimes.

Fun fact: In vanilla game the door of time doesn't check that you have the stones to open, since they are required to start the song of time cutscene only. The game only checks if you played correctly the song of time in its designated spot for it to open. Edit: There is also something weird with the adult starting items. You are always forcefully equiped with the bombs, ocarina and deku nuts in the c buttons. I don't know why you only had the bombs thou.

Do you have any other info on the forced equips? I've since seen other videos on the Door of Time skip (like kzbin.info/www/bejne/e17aqnycesyDfrM ) that also showed Link starting with only bombs equipped. Would be interesting if the specific items you have equipped as adult are dependent on something!

Wow, adult link is way smarter than young link

I love that i grew up during the golden age of video games where you could pull stuff like this off. Games just don't have the same flare anymore.
