He always wastes both arms of hadar on a single creature and then AFTER that jumps into the crowd. Usually feels like the worst one there, maybe a bit above the archer who without fail gets cornered by the boss and choses to attack and disadvantage with her bow then eat an opportunity attack, rather than use her dagger.(Which she can rarely use) Also they all throw healing potions at each other instead of drinking their own 😭

If you can't block damage by act 1.5 (Creche + Underdark), you will die in one turn of combat (Maybe 2nd turn for Barbs). The only other way is through extremely smart barrelmancy, the 700th throwing build, or the 3,000th video of abusing the AI. The build is unique and kind of a "screw you" to the challenge. I like it.

@@point-five-oh6249 yeah, definitely the most interesting approach he could've taken. could've easily just played the whole game as a berserker barb/thief rogue multiclass with the throwing pike/ring of flinging/tavern brawler/gloves of uninhibited kushigo and breezed through the game considering the insane amount of damage throwing builds push out, but it's respectable that he didn't and makes for a much more interesting challenge. it's also really neat that the build directly ties into the challenge's limitation.

IDK if someone else has said this but when fighting the hag the first time, if you don't kill the cultists in the previous room, she will summon them instead of the first set of clones in the fight. This is good because if you kill all but one of the cultists the hag will be summoning 3 dead bodies and a cultist.

You can steal the runepowder barrel before engaging in dialogue with philomeen by sneaking up and jumping over the thing she's standing on. You can also pickpocket the vial from her before doing this, as taking the barrel starts dialogue (and also no convincing needed because there's nothing for her to try and blow you up with) You can also activate both the lever and the lava valve in the forge with ranged attacks.. which incidentally also means you could just activate the boss from the ledge above and chuck returning pikes at him until he is obliterated

I love this build. It's easy, OP and you only need one item from early game. It's effective in early, mid and late game. Crazy to see that you simply get hit all the time - and still beat the game easily on honor mode. Applause!

If you want to make the ground floor fight in Moonrise easier, just start taking care of the enemies in the tower before you release Nightsong. That way Jaheira might actually survive. I would recommend to clear the prison (+ the tunnel you use to escape from cell) before doing this, since if you are fighting solo the enemies won't kill you and instead will just drag you to prison. Then you can just escape, go grab your stuff back and go back to work.

12:00 I love how the ai will sometimes just give up. Same thing happens if they can't find you after a while (from sneak). The ai just gives up. Sometimes the ai will take the dash action on each of its turns, but it wont move. It's hilarious.

I encountered it during my balanced run. When defending the Guild from the Zhent takeover, literally every mfkr stopped taking actions from round 2 onwards. Since my whole party rolled near the head of the initiative queue, I had to wait for somewhere around 20 timed-out-turns every round before I could do anything. No idea what caused it because I wasn't running much damage negation.

Hey, I've got an idea for you. You can play BG3 as Sonic the Hedgehog. First: Take Wood elf for additional movement speed. For your class: Monk (step of the wind for additional movement speed or disengage (preferably disengage, I say why in a sec), and maybe thief for additional bonus action. For equipment you will need: Hamarhraft (main source of damage), boots that will give you lightning charge when dashing, bow of lightning, ring for additional 3m, ring that will boost thunder damage and the gloves of Belligerent Skies. Also you will need to get branding of the Absolute and dashing several times before battle (that will stack your dashes, for instance my monk at level 4 could run for 108 meters straight on turn one). Then change boots for Boots of speed, because they stack with dashes. And you will have 216 meters, but by the end of the playthrough (by the act 3) maximum speed is 360 meters. I can tell all details about that build, if you want. I tried that out and it was so stupid and fun, imagining that in one round my wood elf kills every enemy in one turn by simply jumping around them.

It's actually a shame there's no Tabaxi in bg. The maximum speed you can reach without mechanic abuses in dnd is about 50 meters per second. That's about 180 kilometers per hour.

Just for the record, all you have to do is alt tab out of the game, open task manager, and force quit the game. It won't save, or ruin your run, and it'll save things like your footage.

You can avoid lockpicking the Shipment chest by going to the room where Gut brands you. Climb onto the rafters and drop the chest down twice or so for ~24 damage each throw.

Not sure if you already know now, just learned this a week ago. Apparently you can just use range attacks at the grymforge to hit both the wheel and lever. Absolutely blew my mind that I could have the person taunting the construct do the main steps of the lava and hammer slam almost immediately instead of having two separate people do the actions.

Weird question, but Gale for some reason is always able to heal himself when not in the party and waiting in camp(presumably because of the rot aura). So if he is repec'd to a cleric and uses warding bond on the player before being told to wait at camp, will the effects of warding bond stack with this abjuration build? And since Gale always heals himself, you have a permanent warding bond active.

On the Grymforge fight if you have connor you can place your mold in the forge, fly up to the rocks above, then use connor to bait the grymforge giant into the hammer while shooting the heat and lever mechanisms. Connor can be summoned an unlimited amount of times and thanks to his ability to revive with 1hp after lethal damage he is able to keep the giant in the center pretty easily.

you should of tried to save will and have him get those sick robes he gets for killing karlac. they give fire shield to you and spell that can be used while raging and since u get getting hit all the time they would be very useful

I made use of an Abjuration tank a while ago with 6 eldritch knight 5 abjuration wiz and 1 white ancestry dragon sorcerer Feats: Heavy armor master, Great weapon, Alert. You end up with a full set of LV 4 slots and Armor of A from sorcerer. with alert you don't need any dex and honestly 12-14 int is just fine. With snowburst ring and Acuity hat any attack you take or deliver knocks enemies prone which gives you great opportunites for max power great weapon attacks. I like mourning frost for the bonus cold damage and thematic element. I don't know if it can be buffed with drakethroat and I'm too lazy to test it. Ranger can be swapped for E-knight for more slots and hunter's mark but action surge and an extra feat are more valuable to me.

Yo mate, you can use all levers and valves by shooting at them. So you wouldn't have had to fly to the valve all the time, you could've just positioned yourself on the mould chamber and shoot at the lever and valve.

You can respec Gale to cast warding bonds on you, then you make him leave your party. The spell will stay, and Gale will heal himself, so you basically get resistance to all damage for no cost. This would be awesome on this build.
