I wondered if Block Tales could be beaten without attacking, the core offensive mechanic of the game.
And so, I decided to go on a challenge run to answer the question. can you beat Block Tales without attacking?

Its official I have begun works on the block tales demo 2 no attacking run. This is extremely difficult and tedious as the bosses have 30+ HP. This project will take me a while but I expect to finish it within the next few weeks.

Oh yeah, also small tip. Beat floor 30 first, and you’ll get another thorns card that could help. And another thing, there’s a bit of Bux on the lamp post near the Iron Café. Hope this helps!

I know I’m a bit late, but it’s actually possible to skip the Blackrock Statue fight entirely with a glitch. Not really sure how, I saw it in a speedrun. Although, the pit is still impossible without items.

There's actually one more bux that is hanging around the roof of Iron Cafe, to get there, you need to precisely jump on the window frame but using the little sign stand as a platform, then you quickly strafe jump on the roof. Afterwards, you walk towards the bux that is hanging on top of a light post. There is in fact a youtube tutorial regarding this but I hope this helps in case you are doing this challenge again in the next chapter,

the original rules said "use as minimum items possible" well, the statue isn't possible without that, so technically you could beat it without attacking

So, then if Item+ makes it so bombs do 4 damage, why didn't you get it instead of defense+ so it would only take 5 bombs to kill the statue? Doesn't this mean the real amount of items needed is 12?

here's a tip, if you spam menu the enemies will freeze in place when you have it open so it makes it possible to dodge enemies that usually impossible tod odge

you don't need any bombs for cruel king. whenever he has spawned all 3 of his minions he gets stuck on 1 attack, and if this attack isnt refreshing heal then you win. if you don't wanna die to minions or dont wanna kill them, just use a tank build

whenever you wanna play on keyboard mode on your save file, simply heres controls WASD - move or select, you know it Shift (BATTLE) - Cancel Click (BATTLE) - Throw Dynamite (has anyone knew this that you can click instead of spamming space? spam space and spam click) Enter (BATTLE) - Use yeah i think thats it lol more moves at the bottom

sentient statue's attacks all have the 'ranged' modifer, meaning they aren't affected by thorns. defense+ however will be very useful
