Literally yesterday I discovered that right next to the entrance to the Korok Forest there’s a stone marker that lets you warp out of the forest if you climb into a tree’s mouth (up a ridge to the left as you face the entrance, with the master sword behind you, in case anyone is interested)

I love "solo class" playthroughs/challenges in RPGs (Terraria especially) and seeing that sort of gameplay through BotW like this scratches an itch I didn't even know I had. @Croton I'd like to see you do an "Monster Loot weapons only" run. Basically, you can use the Soldier items before you get your first monster drop of that type, but afterwards, you MUST use only weapons, bows, and shields dropped by monsters or the Bokoblin and/or Guardian amiibo. Items looted from monster camps are allowed, as are the enemy-themed sets from the DLC, as well as the monster masks & Dark Link set sold by Kilton.

Love these challenge runs! I think an elemental only run would be cool (only using ice weapons like the frost blades and ice arrows, or flame blades and fire arrows). For armor, maybe whatever gives you the most resistance to the element you’re using (like the rubber armor for the lightning run). Just a suggestion!

@Lexi Nicole that is what I meant, though I would probably say that flamebreaker would be better for a fire run, just because the gerudo set is already a mandatory item, and the flamebreaker set is yet to be used in a challenge run. Plus, correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the flamebreaker gives fire immunity, similar to how the rubber set gives shock immunity.

Dude, I just found out about a cool trick. If you throw a metal boomerang, you can use magnesis on it while it’s in the air and move it around WHILE it’s in the thrown state

I was so surprised to see this one! I love that you are still coming up with new challenges for yourself. Always a treat. What about a travellers challenge? Hylian clothing and all the travellers equipment, swords, claymores, bows etc. Maybe all the pot lids and farm equipment would be eligible too as that is what you could get as a traveller.

Fun fact If you get close to a pebblit, you can pick them up and toss them. Tossing them will automatically destroy them. Elemental pebblits get way easier when you get the armor sets that grant un-freezable or fireproof. I use to hate challenging them because I didn't always have a hammer weapon and bombs sometimes sent their drops flying. Now I just equip the right armor and start tossing stones.

I have a challenge idea. It's a yiga clan only challenge. You can only use weapons from the yiga clan. You can dye the shieka set red and use that. You must fully upgrade the armor too. And you can only heal with mighty bananas. Torches are allowed since the blade masters use torches in the hideout

How about an only shrine run? With only shrine gear allowed, you have to beat all tests of strength. You're not allowed to reenter shrines, e.g. after a blood moon, so entering every shrine only ones, No champion abilities, no collecting of stuff outside of the shrines, and obviously all devine Beasts

1:05:26 I believe you're supposed to use that log next to Korok, either lifting part of it up and over using cyronis or with a magnesis object under it. Then you can just walk on the log to the korok. I don't see why that log would be there otherwise, always figured that's the intended solution.

I have a run idea that's probably the hardest run in the game. I call it: The True Hero. Link can only wear the Hero of the Wild set and only use the Master Sword and Hylian Shield. To make the run a bit more fair and full, Link my use Traveler Bows. Mandatory items are okay and no champion abilities. (Also, use Amiibo to get Epona.) But yeah, it's super hard and a long challenge, but I think it's possible as long as you pace yourself

Try a yiga only run You can use: A Demon Carver A Vicious Sickle A Windcleaver A Duplex Bow A Phrenic Bow And A Shield of the Mind's Eye You need to wear the Hylian Trousers, Well-Worn Shirt and the Sheikah Mask, All Dyed Red. Like, I didn't know Stalmoblins could throw Stalkoblin heads at you, but I did know normal Moblins can throw Bokoblins at you, because I had it happen once and it shocked me. I think they can also throw your remote bombs back if you don't detonate them.
