It's not a challenge by any means, all you're doing is using mods/cheats to spawn inside the kiln and whatever other areas are needed and removing the forced progression to NG+ A challenge would be something most people can't do, this is not remotely impossible 😂😂

Dark Souls, despite I'd claim having a Cult following is still extremely low in early game completion by comparison to other games. Like I said, it has a bit of a Cult following tho, so it's absurdly high in 100% completion achievements even considering its RPG status, who him pretty sure is one of THE kinds of games people might actually decide to 100%.

Kiln of the First Flame and Firelink Altar are the same map, m18_00_00_00. After I warped back to the Shrine bonfire if I went back to m18_00_00_00 the cutscene would play forcing me into new game. Most of it is an educated guess, but if you are in anywhere in m18_00_00_00 outside Gwyn’s arena the dark lord ending plays. Sorry for being specific about the map. There is a m18_01_00_00 which is the Northern Undead Asylum.

Great video! Something you might not have known about is that you can bypass the golden fog gate to Dukes, either using a fall control meme roll or by traversing an out of bounds collision seam. Doing that in addition to skipping the prison should let you kill seath before OnS! Unless I'm missing something.

Gwyn comes after O&S. Gwyn is the final boss. Killing the Four Lords before Gwyn then O&S is not need because I can wrong warp. Placing the lord vessel is not to make it easier by reducing skips, but allowing me to wrong warp to Gwyn. If I did try and kill the Four Lords before Gwyn without the lordveseel. I can’t get past Nito’s golden fog wall. As far as I know.

There is one good reason to not do the DLC like this - Manus, Father of the Abyss. The point of the run is defeated because of 3 necessary bosses to get to him, which makes it the entire DLC.

The only skip I know for that dlc is the PCC wrong warp that skips the first two bosses, but ya that DLC is messy for this run.

21:10 The simulator game year convention is, I believe, fashioned after the sports game yearly release naming convention. Most sports' (though not all ofc) seasons start in Fall and end in the following year's Spring/Summer, so sports games tend to name themselves after the year that their particular season ends in. So as an example NBA 2K24 will release in September 2023 and cover the 2023-2024 season.
