PSA for all those horror movie protagonists: carry a hand grenade with you at all times 99% of movie monsters are not immune to grenade splash damage. (unless they are the baby turrets then you better hope you aren't doing a BL2 challenge run at UVHM:OP10)

@@richardendresz161 Short answer: a glitch in borderlands 2 Long answer: in borderlands 2 there is a section where you need to kill 2 small turrets to open a gate, these turrets are immune to grenade explosions and have absurdly high health regen. And UVHM:OP10 is basically the hardest difficulty while every enemy is 10 levels higher than you. In many challenge runs of the game they have made progressing extremely hard. And the terminology comes from LilGasmask666.

Funnily enough I’m playing right now Digital Devil Saga 2 and I was watching some videos to pass the time when I was grinding, and then I was notified of your unload and I was like “Finally, Nyarly made a video on DDS1! What a fun coincidence. This will be fun to listen while I’m grinding serph.” But that aside, pretty cool video, hoping that someday you do the other challenge for DDS2, specially since if you’re doing the Serph solo challenge would be impossible due to… the plot. So I guess you’re going to figured out a way to either make the challenge work or make a new one for DDS2.

Best solo character for dds2 is gale, seeing as he’s who you have access to the most throughout the game. You should watch deus’ video about it

@@Willdathrill2608 ok, I watch Deus’ video and man if Nyarly barely break when he did the solo challenge on DDS1, then he would legit have a breakdown if he does it for DDS2. Edit: ok so I watched both videos of Robin & Zephyr and Deus and after watching those, I came with the conclusion that regardless which route Nyarly does, he will NOT 100% the game. Would he beaten the game regardless of either soloing with Gale or without Ashura forms? Yes. But beating all bosses including the optional bosses? Impossible.

This series desperately needs a remaster. Because aside from buying the games from PS2 there is no other way to play these aside from maybe if you Want To play them on the PS3 but I've heard some horror Stories about those versions especially for the second one. I just think it'd be pretty cool to see the duology be brought to a newer generation, but man Heat screaming bring it on in the final boss fight was amazing. Great job with this challenge and hopefully you can do the same thing for DDS 2!

Imagine an RPG that takes place in what is basically NG+, where everyone remembers what happened at the end of the story, how badly it turned out, and keeps pushing the player character, who can't remember anything, to go on a different path, even the main villain pushing him to just go a different way. It'd be interesting to me, especially if you give it multiple endings

Okay, so, there is a more consistent way to take on Hayagriva - human form. You have no elemental weakness in human form, and shock ammo is available before fighting him Human form is pretty good for Usas too. It doesn't save you from Marin Karin, but it does nullify Seraph Lore and Hama For the same reason, human Beelzebub is best fought in human form too since Mamudoon is always a followup to Mahamaon Finally, did you know DDS tracks MP for enemies? Yeah, you can make Metatron run out of MP in phase 1 and basically neuter him

The Orochi fight is one of my favorite boss fights in SMT. A boss with overwhelming power in theory that can be neutered with proper skill sets. A good way to show case just how adaptable and strong the party members are within the context of the game.

A nice detail is how the bosses don't have long drawn out death scenes, they are quick and spastic. Like a person.

1:00:31 so basically the omnipotent orb from persona as a skill. I don't know if that's more or less broken than the omnipotent orb. But its definitely more broken than the invincible Metatron build to make that you need to sacrifice many skills to make it,it doesn't block alignments and in persona 5 you have to put him in lockdown to null/repel/drain gun because there are no null/drain/repel gun skills and again it doesn't block alignments.

Wait... I just got that Serph breaking that deletion program was him beating Samsara. His cycle. Angel should've been able to delete Serph or at least his blade but instead got denied. Better yet, when the program went haywire and deleted everything, it wasn't the portal that saved the tribe; they were already strong enough to defeat deletion and their cycles. And they did the same thing in the real world. Masterpiece still taking me to school...

Rahu is supposed to have a gimmick where his head traps a party member and damages them until they're dead. He then gets buffed stats and abilities for the rest of the fight...unless you are solo. If you only have one party member, he never goes for his gimmick so you can cheese him with little effort. Deus proved this in his own solo Serph run.

I think another challenge to consider is no new mantra, so the mantra and skills a character comes in with is what they have for the whole game. I think it would be somewhat similar to the Persona 2 Innocent Sin default persona run.

For the second game i suggest you use gale. I am aware you cant change his stats but he is the only one who you have access to for the full game because plot reasons.

I heard Atlus is releasing both sound tracks from DDS1 and 2, though I think it is digital only. That sounds exactly what Atlus will give us for the DDS 20th anniversary....and more then likely nothing else.

Well, it's one of those massive luck checks: - You need to dodge every Mamudoon - You need to be able to heal off the damage - Crits must remain at minimum - You must get put to sleep when Pixie or Parvati come out - No Stone from Gate of Hell - No Curse from Blood Curse - No Debilitate from Arahabaki - No Ragnarok from Arahabaki
