In order: - Argilla's Atma and her demon form are in the Jojo title card pre-Oberon break (53:56) - Cielo's Atma brand is mentioned when he and Roland are unlocked (24:55) - "Which isn't one of Dyaus's weaknesses" is sneaky; during the Satan segment, you can see Satan hit the entire group with Maziodyne (2:15:16), which does half damage to Dyaus compared to Ardha. Since Satan uses Futility to remove all unnatural affinities, the only way this would be possible is if he resisted it. Ergo, it's not a weakness! - MIN Solar Noise cleansing status ailments is mentioned as a benefit to MIN Critical (51:50) - The effects of Wild Card are shown multiple times, but is first shown at the bottom of the screen during the Hecatoncheires fight (23:19) - Battle speed determining money gained is mentioned during the segment describing how money doesn't exist until after the Occupied Sector (3:57) - The Cuvier Syndrome being named after Madame Margot Cuvier, I admit I could've been a biiiiit clearer about, but my thought process at the time was that mentioning her by name would convey that. In many campaigns, level 5 or 6 is the highest you'll get to or that might be where you start at (level 3 is another popular starting point). In others, you might get up to 10 or so, especially if you started at level 5. Particularly long campaigns might see you going all the way to level 20.

It gets me that everybody thinks DDS1 Demi-Fiend is the hardest boss in JRPG gaming when DDS2 Satan exists. Atlus looked at the Demi-Fiend fight and went "okay, that was bullshit and next to impossible, but how can we make it even MORE bullshit?" Seriously, I tried him back in the day and just gave up in disgust, and I wasn't gimping myself with a challenge ruleset either.

This was a big endeavor and boy you delivered the presentation. DDS2 was certainly enjoyable to see this challenge done. While Satan is the one boss being (currently) unable to be beaten without demons, I’m sure someone will eventually find someway to make it possible.

Even if you would be able to remove his God breath (via gameshark) still the battle is harder than demi-fiend. Since Satan gets stronger and stronger each phrase dealing more damage and you receive over 30% more damage as human maybe more. You need to survive his 7/8 turns of spamming strongest skills. Unless avoid ring will kick in to save your arse, otherwise, good luck

It require you to fully evade his attacks and pray he won't use mammudons often, also unavoidable temptation can screw you over. Plus dealing over 1.5k damage in one turn in guns only. Wellp yeah I'd rather beat set with level 1 party even tho I would be wiped out with spiteful wind

This was quite the fantastic ride. Also, while I've never played any of the DDS games, I find it impressive how I've never seen people talk about Satan. It's always "Demifiend is the strongest boss from teh series", but Satan seems way more contrived and ridiculous.

I think a lot of it is the novelty of fighting a previous protagonist. It’s kinda like Red in Pokémon Gen 2. So Demi is more remembered, even if Satan is more difficult.

@@thrasher698 Even with that I'm surprised that it's "infinitely more of an RNGfest" than the fight that starts with a Mamudoon spammer on the field (that you're not allowed to null), Gaea Rage dodging relying largely on Dormina proc which can just miss or run out at a bad time, Demi-fiend himself being able to randomly get crits literally at any and all times or just randomly mute or stun everyone, and whatever fresh hell Arahabaki's moveset decides to throw at you.

Even better than the first game, incredibly impressive stuff! DDS1 and 2 are some of my favorite SMT games, so it was really cool to see you beat them in a way I never thought was possible

These games need way more attention than they got. The story is one of the absolute best in not just any RPG, or any game, but any work of fiction, PERIOD. It's great that so many SMT content creators have done videos on the series. The more attention it receives, the more likely that, one day, Atlus gets around to giving us a remastered version. I still have both my original PS2 copies from when they first released, I'll never get rid of them. Great challenge run, I figured it'd be possible, and it's not nearly as hard as a single character solo run, but it's really interesting to see the strategies people come up with to beat the games under this ruleset. And doing the Crossfire combo attack was always badass as hell.
