However if you get fully suited even t 45 armor makes you a wall that only heavy hitting weapons can deal with

Before survival mode came out, I had the mentality of: "it's x-01 or nothin'". But after survival I realised that even standard T-45 is great. I went with the "armorer" perk (I can't remember it's real name), and I kept upgrading the T-45. It was quite awesome because I began to respect my suit of armor.

That is really cool man, any power armour is decent but its how you use it the lower grades of power armour are less maintenance yet less powerful but still get the job done my personal favoruite is T60 got the most legendary pieces

You shouldn't have gone for the T-45 in the Museum of Freedom. You could have gone northeast to the robotics disposal site to grab a fusion core, then went east to the crashed virtibird and grabbed the T-45 there. Then gone through the museum of freedom.

the t-45 is better than people think, its ability to easily repair in the field is amazing as well. for general exploring, it is always my go-to while my X-02 is for exact missions. I move to the t-60 only when I feel I can repair it with the piles of junk at the base

Little mention for T-51, its limbs only need steel to repair so its easy to fix on the fly, the head and body need more uncommon things, but those arent hit much so its not a big issue. I move over to X-01 when i have a large stockpile of resources and the caps to buy more should i run out of something

Ive beaten the game and all DLCs with zero power armor, the hardest part is avoiding set ups like the deathclaw outside Virgil's cave

For the future you can easily get a full health full set of t-45 with a fresh fusion core if you go past Concord, past Drumlin Dinner and right before you arrive at Lexington you will see a crashed vertibird on the second overpass. There will be an elevator near by that will take you right up to it and the set.

Or the one in the train North of Tenpines Bluff to name a few. None of which requires having to have anything to do with Preston and co.

Make water purifiers in Sanctuary, every time you come back to Sanctuary there will be 100 or 200 or however many bottles of water in the workbench. Take them to a vendor and trade them for fusion cores, or whatever else you want.

You can get a fusion core from the mole rat den under red rocket, two from the salvage yard in the far northwest and one from the satellite array. You can have 4 before even starting the first mission. There is also a power armour suit and it’s pieces between the array and the salvage yard.

hey man I know I'm busting your balls here but I don't think you did beat it with only T45. at at the beginning of the run you said you could only deal damage with T45 and at 5:05 your fists were broken meaning you were using the power armor frame not the armor itself again at 8:00 and 14:32 actually the fists were the only part that needed to be t45 unless you use the Pain Train perk. could have used anything else for body head and legs.

i did Preston after fort Hagen and for some reason as the deathclaw popped out a vertibird and brotherhood were killing the people outside so it was easy

You actually don't need strength at all in this run. Wearing Power Armor sets your strength to 10

I don't know how anyone can play this game in power armour. It's so slow and cumbersome. If you sprint you burn through fusion cores and you can't do any crafting whilst wearing it.

it's certainly a different way of playing, It offers excellent defences and makes you a literal tank but it's not for everyone and I can see why it can be annoying as stealth is non existent

I prefer being agile enough to dodge attacks rather than soaking them up and with the right perks and armour, even chems, you can take enough hits anyway. Although I do get hammered by radiation unless I chug a few rad-x, vegetable soup and a glowing blood pack. Power armour is good for exploring the glowing sea and jumping off tall buildings.

@@InsaneFrame It overhauls power armour and makes it a lot rare to come across, rather than throwing it around nearly everywhere like in the base game. Most power armour spawn locations are replaced with something else like weapons. Different Power armour pieces are scattered throughout the world, and the T45 you get on top of the museum is only a torso at 10% health. It also raises the perk restrictions for repairing PA depending on the type.
