Awesome watch. :) I've actually wanted for a while now to make it so that when you repel the dancer into the performer they will be dealt damage. May drop it on top of the upcoming DLC to make such runs and the boss fight in general a bit more engaging. We've already expanded on some existing boss fights so may as well!

Technically you can claim complete innocence, as every enemy you encountered with more than 1 hp literally had to make the conscious decision to get half sucked into a black hole after striking you and keep attacking instead of just giving up. Neat.

Grime is a gem and just an amazing game. I had a lot of fun while playing through it and might consider doing the same challenge because of you now : D On a side note: Whenever enemies are flashing yellow actually indicates that you could pull on them like the interactives in the world. With a perk, this would even damage them. So more times to deal damage without a weapon. I understand that this can't help you now anymore Lemon, since you finished already but for anyone out there who like me feels tested to try this now, I am sure it will come in handy.

Just so you know? I bought this game because of this video. And on a more personal note, watching you grow as a content creator has been astounding. My little brother found you when you were just starting out, still under 300 subs, and my God I can't think of anybody else who deserves it half as much as you do. Please never change. Always be the witty, goofy, insanely brilliant person who gives us the incredible gifts that are your videos. Thank you so much.

I really appreciate that you take your time to explain parts of the games super well to where they make sense to people who have never touched them, even though you yourself have likely beaten them already. It makes the videos a lot easier to watch and the challenges easier to follow. Also, it makes the games seem really interesting, like this one for example! Grime looks very cool for what it is.
@Evan_2422 жыл бұрын
That's strange. I did stop playing at the boss "final perfomance" because I wasn't in the mood to try hard and this seems hard and quite tedious. But after your video and how you didn't spoil the area after but teasing it in a way that made me want to give it a try again to see what's after. Thanks Backlogs, I'm so curious now, well done. I will beat this guy someday.

I absolutely adore Grime, I 100%ed the game with all the DLC and then went digging into the lore as much as I could. Knowing all that, watching you do this run where you try to only defend yourself hit me surprisingly hard, especially with you picking the ending that makes the whole run make sense. With the way you discussed the last section before Shidra without spoiling it, it sounds like the lore there maybe made your pacifist run hit you harder than expected too! An absolutely phenomenal video, thank you Lemon.

You are always so damn fun to watch, i also like that you keep the audio balanced so even when you are excited and yelling it's not actually louder then your calm speaking voice, and it's good to see you expanding your game options, here's to hoping for Code Vein and Dragon's Dogma!

You know, mandatory actions shouldn't count against your challenges. If the game *forces* you to use something, then it isn't your choice. So anything that outright bars progression, like requiring you to hit an enemy during a run like this, wouldn't end the run. That's just my two cents, though.
@BrianatorFTW Жыл бұрын
that works for the challenge run(why call it off as long as it is still a challenge), but even you have to agree the question "Can you beat Grime without damaging enemies with a weapon?" is answered with a "no", or "no*" if you want to note that technicality while still making clear that the literal is invalidated

Aw man I blasted through this one back when it came out and I have played through a bit of the new update. I can attest that Burst Lantern playstyle is extremely satisfying, especially when you use the hand drill that doubles your stacks! But i didnt even know that Resonance also boosts absorb damage which is some dope knowledge. Hope to see a Burst run one day! Or maybe one of the other weirdo lanterns hidden about.

a little late, I just came back to this video after starting a new grime playthrough, I'm sure there are other points in the run that you're forced to hit things and maybe someone noticed this already, but for the frail arm at 4:10, I found that if you get the timing right by forcing it to attack and then jumping back up immediately, you can just barely get on the ledge and absorb its attack, and it's actually pretty easy, perhaps it wasn't possible 2 years ago when you recorded this, I'm not sure, but it just took me about 15 seconds to do it

It's uncanny how much this game both looks and feels like the kind of surrealist art made by mid-90s indie 3DCG artists, but rendered in real time. Half the screenshots from this run could have been submissions for a cover CD for a 90s computer art magazine. At that time, photorealistic humans were impossible, so the only way to avoid uncanny valley was to go completely nuts.

I was just dicking around in my save and found that apparently the "attack in the air tutorial" guy can actually be circumvented. Idk if it's a glitch or what, but I stood on the platform next to him and dashed toward him, and grabbed the ledge below, clipped through him, and wound up standing on the other side, where he can easily be absorbed
