I would not consider using the DLC Weapons as cheating as they are just now part of the game. If you're gonna start with a flamethrower, use it. It's the same thing, basically. You're an excellent challenge runner. No need to annoy yourself that much. I have tried to do the Iron Man run of the game and I never liked it. This game sometimes is too cheap on its cheapshots. You did great.

Yeah, darklurker and double cat are the only bosses I haven't beaten yet because of how annoying it is also the reindeer can despawn too it just takes a long time

a really good video - I just can describe my experience by myself started on the ps3 - now again in the nostalgic Dark Souls mood Just memories which areas I hate and I like. Traps like the mimics the first time when you open them and they literally eat you its just all these small memories and also the dopamin rush with each boss and jeah its true many things in that game and not described for a new player in the beginning BUT i stayed for exact this part i dont want a easy game - I want to learn the game - i want to fail - i want to understand (doll for the painting btw XD) It was a great game and will be a wonderful game! AND dont forget the beautiful level design which can overwhelming you pretty fast! all these interconnections are wonderful!

it's a shame you don't like Elden Ring, whips are so good and so fun in that game, especially if you cover them with elemental effects like lightning, super stylish (and very apt for SPS)

I finally got the courage to play Dark Souls 2, thanks to you and your videos. I always thought that DS2 is the hardest, and it is impossible for me to complete, but I learned from you that everything looks impossible until you do it! Right now, I'm almost completed the base game, and I'm having a blast playing it. Just wanted to say thank you for indirectly encouraging me to play the game, and giving me a mentality which helped me get through some hard times. <3
