@@mikoajnowak5330 Just debeaking a headcrab wouldn’t make it actually follow you around like a pet, after going through the combine teleporter and arriving back at Kleiner’s lab, when he opens the door you can see Lamar next to him peaking in before getting scared off by Gordon’s crowbar. Likewise we never actually see her try to jump on anybody’s head, Kleiner states “the worst she could do is try to couple with your head” but she immediately does the exact opposite. Obviously she isn’t fully domesticated, so like modern day “exotic” pets, she’s still very wild.

I’m pretty sure when the head crab isn’t moving after you shoot the host that means you killed it with the host. This is because a head crab is needed to be alive to control its host, meaning that it couldn’t have controlled the zombie while it’s dead. I could be wrong though.
